So with a battered offensive line and the top RB on the roster, Lawrence Maroney, out, I think it's an exaggeration to say that he was surrounded by all-world talent. Tom Brady is the best in the NFL bar-none at sliding around in the pocket--there is an argument to be made that Brady is so good that he makes his offensive line look a lot better than they actually are.

Without an injured Maroney the Pats rushed for 2278 yards in 2008. With Maroney they rushed for 1849 yards in 2007 and 1969 in 2006.
