One of my friends from high school came down with this when he was in his mid-40s (normally it's an after-50 thing, but he was very unlucky). For those who don't know, shingles a virus related to chickenpox that causes a horrible, painful rash that takes days/weeks to go away. My mrs is dealing with them now. Let's just say, if you haven't gotten the shingles vaccine, you should RUN to your nearest pharmacy and get it. She's been in agony for 3 weeks.
