I thought the Chuck seasons were a little stronger than the later seasons because I felt that the character development was exceptional and very well fleshed out.
But admittedly, it was pretty slow.
I just preferred it a little. I recognize that you can't go 6 seasons at that pace, though and ultimately those early season arcs had reached natural end points. So I have few complaints.
