Also ep5 of Midnight Mass was more of another hour of TNT level word salad that I’d expect to see playing at my gym at 4:30am ala Alyssa Milano’s Charmed series.

Episode 6 is probably up there with all time TV episodes for me. All of the care into developing the character's backgrounds paid off with my utter devastation at the loss of the old man. I'm just not accustomed to such a high level of execution for tying story elements together, and this show has it in spades. This paired with the constant resetting of expectations with some of the huge scenes like the contestant getting killed in the bay just have me thrilled.
