Hard to be too hard on yourself there.
It's damn near impossible to control a block when you come from that far and it it that clean. I tip might spin away and get corralled but when you get that much ball, unless you came in under control and could get a second hand up there, there's just no good way to keep that ball in bounds.
Best he could've realistically hoped for is to somehow muscle it down into the shooter and off him out of bounds, but again - with as far as he had to extend to get to it, that's virtually impossible.
He made a great play. And frankly, the defense on the in-bounds was quite good. Jokic was a little late to challenge because he appeared to miscommunicate on the switch (the guy with Davis could've gone over the screen if he wanted to but thought Jokic was switching onto him; had to point to get Jokic's attention), but he's so long he still challenged the shot.
But when a 7 footer is draining catch and shoot 3-balls, you just tip your cap and move on.
