Honestly, Harbaugh and Belichick are really the only coaches that have seemed to understand this about the Chiefs with how they use 4th downs. I admired how both coaches went for it on 4th early, often, and basically everywhere on the field. It worked for the Patriots this year, and while it didn’t work for Baltimore, it was the way to go. Had Shanahan gambled and been up 27-10 when WASP happened, the Chiefs may have have had the time to come back - but even then, three possessions is
still not out of our offense’s reach with 9:00 to go in the game. You have to score a lot if you want a chance to win, there is no other way to do it when our team is healthy.
