From a business standpoint, no one and done should be playing as a freshman.
DeAndre Ayton should sit out the rest of the season. So should Tre Young. And anyone else who's projected in the lottery. Marvin Bagley has missed a few games for Duke - same thing for him. He should sit out and avoid risk of reinjury.
He's been medically cleared for full contact. That means the injury is healed and there's no more risk of reinjury than there will be at any point in the future. And he does have some potential gains by coming back and playing.
There are several freshmen who have moved their stock above his in the draft because of the great seasons they've had. Playing for a tournament team and taking them on a run, like a real life Jimmy Chitwood, would be incredible for his brand and potentially help his stock.
It also would show NBA teams he's confident in his back and has no worries about it moving forward.
And from a personal standpoint, he'd get to play with his brother again - perhaps the last time he'll get to suit up with him rather than against him.
Lots of pros and cons both ways.
