Sadly, if Dayton had stuck with our longtime friend Jack Schitt this offseason, this team is going to the playoffs.

This team was worn down after two consecutive postseasons in 2016, but they still had the gas for a final run. Put Dyson in CF, Cain in RF, Gordo in LF and Boni at DH with Davis as the closer, and this team is a lean, mean machine.

Ah well. Dayton's gambles are what got us 2014 and 2015, this year, the gambles went the other way.
