In the recent Marvel comics, a "dark skinned" woman named Sana claimed to be Han Solo's wife. Finn being related to Lando would be pretty lame, too.

Definitely. It would also be a smart creative and business move. Create a new family or clan of heroes and villains so the stories don't get stale. I would love to see a Netflix or HBO series similar to how The Expanse has been done. I'd love to see story lines involving actual politics. In a reality where that many species exist political discussions would be an incredible nightmare of trying to appease so many different needs. Hell... maybe the Empire was all about efficiency and streamlining politics to help the greatest number possible. I would enjoy watching a storyline from the POV of a normal guy in the Empire. Jedis would look like fanatical religious zealots to them I would think.
