It's fun to think about. That 13' team owned Boston in the second half and Ortiz said he wanted no part of the Royals' rotation in October.
Shields, Santana, a young, 102 mph throwing, underscouted Ventura, a young, underscouted Duffy, and JGuts plus our pen... it's fun to think about.
If only Moore could have shed the last of his loyalties to the hard working, grit all stars (Getz and Frenchy) before the start of that season. If we roll into 2013 with legitimate a second basemen and a right fielder, it would have been fun to see where we would have gone.
Luckily, Moore learned his lesson on his grit-obsession that season, and finally abandoned the Ross Gload's and unquantifiable "locker room champions" for legitimate baseballers from 2014 forward.
