I'm jumping in to make my selection ahead of Marco, since his time is up. I will be gone anyway for the next three hours.

Good value matches desperate need, here. And I mean, desperate need. After Marcus Cooper walked to Chicago, so now the Cards have no #2 corner. They need a day one starter who can compete. This guy is day one starter material.
