Yep.. That's it... It's never his fault. He's not accountable for anything on this team. nothing.. He just makes the lineup, and might as well hit the showers because after that, nothing he does matters or can possibly make a difference in the outcome of a game. It's all on the players, you can't blame manager, GM or owner, they aren't accountable for anything - just cashing their paycheck. It's just almost every other team, and every successful team, that feel differently.

If Ned doesn't own a huge part of this team's performance, then why have a manager? Let the players set the lineup.

I know this this isn't the military but you'll never hear the navy, or most captains, allow the blame for running the ship aground not START with the ship's captain. There may be others, but it always starts with the captain, he is relived of command, and THEN the investigation begins. Others may go down, the captain may get his ship back, but it's usually step one to releive him. It sort of sets a tone....

Perhaps the Royals could learn something from the Navy!
