Who's our greatest rival in the AFC?

Poll forthcoming.

Still denver to me

I think the Ravens jump out but I think we're sleeping on Pittsburgh, if they do the smart thing and add Fournette.

That's a team with a Hall of Fame QB, a really good coach, a good OL and (with Fournette) a damn good running game, and enough weapons to kind of make us sweat a bit on the outside.

I'm not super worried about the Chiefs offense against them, but they have the tools to potentially hold us under 30.

**** the broncos

Hawker007 09-02-2020 11:57 AM

Are you asking who's our greatest rival or our greatest competition to win the AFC? Those are 2 very different questions.

My vote for the Ravens reflects our greatest competition.

I went with the Patriots. We’re not chasing anyone else in the AFC, but we are chasing their legacy (minus the rampant cheating).

The Chiefs are looking to be the next dynasty. The previous dynasty’s success (albeit fraudulent success) is the measuring stick.

Competition wise it will be the Lamar vs Pat show for the next few years I reckon. The exodus of QB's that have dominated the AFC (Brady, Big Ben etc.) though leaves the door wide open. I thought Luck would be a contender for awhile but obviously his premature retirement shut that door real quick.

Greatest rival isn't really a conversation even. It's the donkeys. It's fun to curb stomp the raiders and the chargers, but it just isn't the same. The fact that they've won three superbowls since '98 separates them from the other two AFC west teams. I don't really consider the ravens, steelers, or texans "rivals." Those will be tough games, but I have friends and family who live in Denver. Every loss in the last 20 years, I hear about it and they talk shit.

Well now the tables have turned. I don't want to just win against Denver. I hope Lock gets absolutely dick smashed by Clark and Jones. I hope we embarrass them to the point that the spread on the rematch is kc -21.5. I want them to feel no hope.

For 2020 it’s the Ravens

But the Broncos and Raiders are our eternal enemies

CasselGotPeedOn 09-02-2020 12:35 PM

No R8ers?

Buehler445 09-02-2020 12:46 PM

Probably brother****ing Cheatriot because Belicheat will find new and creative ways to try to hurt Mahomes.

Outside of ****ing cheating, Indy, and if Jackson stays healthy, Ravens. Someone will catch fire and go on a run.

But let's be clear here. I'm not worried about any of them.

**** Donk Forever. Goes without saying.

The ravens are currently our stiffest challenge, but the broncos are our biggest rival. Denver is such a douche team with douche fans, both of whom inflate their legacy. The only legacy the broncos deserve is for having the single biggest competitive advantage in the history of sports, thin air. That and their legacy of cheating on and off the field leading to two of their three championships.
