Anybody good at combination math?
 

I always sucked at statistics.....

We have rolled out a new software product with accessories and need to figure how many combinations we offer..

Example:

You have different 5 car models to chose from...
You can chose from 12 fabrics
You can chose from 15 colors

How many combinations do we offer?

Please also show the formula.

I think the right answer is to avoid Facebook marketplace when looking to purchase a car.

Each model (5) has a possibility of 180 fabric (12) and color (15) combinations. 5*15*12=900.

My ADHD always kicked in. I had to read them backwards to figure them out.

Our marketing states we offer thousands of combinations

A customer challenged that statement....

we actually have 6 versions, with one choice of 16, and another choice of 15 variables.

1,440 combinations...hummm

YEP 6X16X15= 1440

5x12x15

Marketing or salesperson lie? Couldn't possibly happen.

Combination math? You mean multiplication?
