Now, all these years later, I look back on all the injuries I suffered and I wonder how they piled up to result in the pain I feel now....

That sucks. Lot of guys who work blue collar jobs for 10+ years who feel the same...

My grandad worked steel for 45 years and is now wheelchair bound because his back was destroyed by his job.

I feel bad for anyone that can't live a normal life after retirement...from anything. But this scenario is not unique to football.

The article is about how marijuana should be legalized and available to NFL players for pain relief and possibly to reduce brain injury.

This. I'm a little over it. We got it, playing pro football ****s your body up. Everybody on the planet is now clearly aware of this fact. If you play, you'll
make an excellent living in exchange for your body having significant issues later in life.
