Rank the QBs in the NFC game
For anyone that wants to play. Just rank the QBs in the NFC based on whether you think they can get their team to the 2024-25 NFCCG.
The QBS are, in no particular order: Dak Prescott Daniel Jones Jalen Hurts Jared Goff Jordan Love Kirk Cousins Bryce Young Derek Carr Baker Mayfield Kyler Murray Matt Stafford Brock Purdy Geno Smith (WAS/CHI/MIN currently do not have a QB1) Just to start things off, I'll go first. Stafford Mayfield Purdy Goff Hurts Love Cousins Smith Murray Prescott Carr Jones Young Again, this isn't about stats. You can use stats to bolster your argument, but the question is, in order, which QBs do you think could lead their team to the NFCCG this coming season. Basically, if you had to pick which you would trust the most to get the job done. I made my list based mostly on playoff performances. So while Baker doesn't have great regular season stats, his playoff performances have been better than every QB on the list except for Stafford and Purdy. But I put Baker ahead of Purdy because he's the more physically talented QB. Around the middle of my list, right around Cousins, is when I transitioned to just who I trusted more based on what I've seen from them in actual game situations. So while Murray is physically far more talented than Geno, I just trust Geno to be more reliable. Anyway, let's see what you got.:thumb: |
I don't think Purdy is on the same level as Goff or Love. The Shanahan system protects QBs a lot, and makes them look far more competent than they are. Look at the disaster Garappalo is when out of it.

I don't think Purdy is any worse than Goff. In my opinion, anyway. I could see Love being significantly better. Problem is the tiny sample size, for me anyway. But Purdy has simply been the better performer (to my eyes). |

Brock Purdy - He's good and he's the QB for the 49ers who seem to be there every year.
Jared Goff - He's solid and on another NFC power team. Jordan Love - Ascending player and team. Matt Stafford - He's good, but team feels like it's on a slow descent, as is he. Jalen Hurts - This team is strange, but last year may have been SB hangover. Could see them turning it back around. Kirk Cousins - I like Cousins so tempted to put higher but woof his playoff history is rough. Dak Prescott - Good player, solid team. But for whatever reason they simply do not post season. Baker Mayfield - They are just a middle of the road team. Mayfield can get hot at times though so could pull off an upset or two. Kyler Murray - Getting to the bottom now. He's shown the ability to be very good, but the Cardinals need a lot to gel. Geno Smith - New regime and such, NFCCG seems pretty unlikely. I like Geno, but he's not a super star. Derek Carr - Won't win the division this year. They'll probably just be a little worse than last year. Can't see them making it to Divisional round. Bryce Young - He's terrible as are the Panthers and everything they touch. Daniel Jones - Holy shit this guy. Please keep the Giants off of prime time this year for the LOVE OF GOD!!!! |

Love should be first on this list for many years to come.
The other players already had their best days. |
