Looking for a router & internet advice

Long story short....I've got AT&T internet at my house and I'm using their router/modem that they send you. I've noticed lately that my wifi quality is shit with my smart TV and devices. Could having more than 3-4 devices hooked up cause this issue? Or is it the shitty AT&T router?

If it's the latter.....what router would you recommend?

Anyone out there using powerline adapters?

The newer ASUS routers are fantastic.
The firmware has all kinds of great utilities to easily manage your home network.

I can say the 5Ghz range on these things are AWESOME! My whole house has full 5GHz coverage and my router is in the sub-basement. (The same range as my 2.4GHz network).

That said, your router may still be bottlenecked by your shitty DSL service.
You will probably need to move to Cable to take full advantage of the beast of a router you buy.
