Renaming the Chiefs: Round 6 - The Championship
 

If the tides of politics sweep away the Chiefs name, the new name for the Chiefs will be...

Among these two, I'll go with Monarchs.


Among the full tournament, my top five name choices would have been:

Copperheads
Stampede
Comets
Tornados
Archers

I would welcome any of these names to my television on Sundays, and on prime time since the Chiefs will be on prime time a lot.

Monarchs, easily. Might even be the most realistic choice.

Another thing possible is they could change the entire name. The Missouri xyz, The MoKan xyz, etc. Less likely than just a team name but it could happen.

Anyone here liking MoKan?

Well, at least you still have a flying insect to vote for in the championship round. Butterflies are murder hornets with a better outlook on life.

I am grateful that the Kansas City Football Team didn't get any traction.

I don't like either. I like Monarchs more I like Wolfpack. I was all in on Scouts but that went down pretty quick.

This whole series about renaming the Chiefs is super lame.

Don't blame me. Blame George Floyd, the tenure system in universities, helicopter parenting by boomers, teachers' unions, Christopher Columbus, the Chinese invention of gunpowder, and the first clan to cross the Bering Land Bridge.

I always loved the idea of just calling them the Hunt.

But I’ll settle for Monarchs.
