Redskins hire Ron Rivera as head coach
 

I'm not sure if this is threadworthy, because it's the Redskins and it's Ron Rivera, but I'll put it up anyway.

Redskins management seems to be confident that he can lead them to a slightly above .500 record like he's done in the past.

They got rid of their trash GM and brought on Rivera as HC, who hired Del Rio as his DC. They should be able to turn that franchise around, especially in that shitty division. I saw something last week that no team has won back-to-back division titles in the NFC East since 2002 or some shit lol

Then again, Snyder is still the owner.

I'll never understand giving total control to someone who was just fired. Doesn't make sense in any other business.

At this point at least Rivera has a history of being competitive that's better than the Redskins now.

He has a decent shot of turning it around as long as Snyder doesn't mettle.
