You need more than 3 guys on a DL. Especially a DL that has a NT that plays 2000% of our snaps. He'll get plenty of snaps. According to PFF he took 609 snaps over the guard, 68 snaps as nose tackle and 83 snaps as an edge-rusher. Yup, sounds a lot like DeVito but better suited for NT. Sounds like exactly what Sutton looks for. If they can motivate the kid, this is an excellent pick.

We've turned Allen Bailey and Jaye Howard into studs.

My thought exactly. Plus he gives some protection in the future in case things aren't worked out with Poe (though I bet they will be). He seems as sure a bet as anyone else in the second round and he won't need microfracture surgery.

Additional plus: I love his attitude and personality -- seems like the kind of guy who will be eager to learn and willing to lead.

The best part of all of this is you're comparing this player to other first round picks. Our guys were gone, we traded back, and got someone who was just mentioned as one of the top DLs talent wise in this draft. But your butthurt because you wanted a position of need vs skill.
