jonzie04 04-29-2016 05:38 PM

I'll take him.. Tremendous upside. 6'6 DE with some quickness. Guy is definitely a first rounder in most drafts.

Scary DL gets more scary. Great pick!

Your NFL knowledge would fit in a thimble with room to spare

RunKC 04-29-2016 05:44 PM

34 QB pressures
11.5 run stuffs
8.5 sacks

Way better than Jarran Reed or A'Shawn Robinson. This guy can actually get pressure on the QB.

Pitt Gorilla 04-29-2016 05:44 PM

If you like measurables (like Poe), you love this pick.

Iowanian 04-29-2016 05:44 PM

Divito is gone.

This pick solidifies the line and helps it stay savage for 4 quarters.

If Dorsey says it's the guy, he's earned my belief that it's a good pick.

So he replaces DeVito. Okay. I'm for keeping the D as one of the best and a big part of the Chiefs identity so I'm good with the pick.

BryanBusby 04-29-2016 05:46 PM

I'm relieved they at least took a fatty that can rush the passer

Fire Me Boy! 04-29-2016 05:46 PM

Not sure I could be more underwhelmed... this guy is the 14th rated DT in my draft guide

6'5 310 - an athlete with a basketball background, Jones has wide shoulders, long arms and little fat on his frame. Although he is a fluid mover with power, he is raw, failing to use his hands effectively and often playing too high. He is a boom or bust prospect who needs a good position coach

The negative clips ESPN played provide truth to that assessment

Not the least bit excited about this guy, no way is he ready to make a difference in 2016

I'll disagree. He'll make a difference.

I was so nervous we'd get a bad DL that can't rush the QB. At least this guy is a dominant athlete with production.

With the possibility of Houston out, this is a pick that's gonna get pressure up the middle.

There are a shit ton of pass rushing OLBer's in the NFL that didn't hit their stride until the 3rd or 4th season.

James Harrison (practice squad after practice squad), Larry Hughes, etc. and so on.

More drivel from an emotional twat.

chiefzilla1501 04-29-2016 05:51 PM

What is everyone's obsession with bringing in starters?

You need more than 3 guys on a DL. Especially a DL that has a NT that plays 2000% of our snaps. He'll get plenty of snaps. According to PFF he took 609 snaps over the guard, 68 snaps as nose tackle and 83 snaps as an edge-rusher. Yup, sounds a lot like DeVito but better suited for NT. Sounds like exactly what Sutton looks for. If they can motivate the kid, this is an excellent pick.

pugsnotdrugs19 04-29-2016 05:51 PM

My thought exactly. Plus he gives some protection in the future in case things aren't worked out with Poe (though I bet they will be). He seems as sure a bet as anyone else in the second round and he won't need microfracture surgery.

Additional plus: I love his attitude and personality -- seems like the kind of guy who will be eager to learn and willing to lead.

The best part of all of this is you're comparing this player to other first round picks. Our guys were gone, we traded back, and got someone who was just mentioned as one of the top DLs talent wise in this draft. But your butthurt because you wanted a position of need vs skill.

Just quit now.
