Rain Man 11-13-2006 01:55 PM

Or is there a keg party going on off-camera?

Hydrae 11-13-2006 02:01 PM

I don't know what you are hearing, all I hear is the crickets that have been singing all night over there.

greg63 11-13-2006 02:08 PM

Can't someone release an elephant to get attacked by hungry lionesses???

4th and Long 11-13-2006 02:14 PM

I think I just saw greg riding a hyena, bareback, ala Lady Godiva.

For about 15 minutes, there was some sort of African music going on, like those guys who used to sing with Paul Simon.

Hydrae 11-13-2006 02:19 PM

Must have been the guys with the flashlights. They need to knock it off though, they are scaring away my entertainment! :cuss:

Go ahead; say it all you want, but if you see it then I would suggest to you that you're taking entirely too much of your own medication. :D

Frankie 11-13-2006 02:34 PM

The camera's movin around now trying to focus on something.

Rain Man 11-13-2006 02:38 PM

All I see is dirt. Dirt that looks like snow in this light.

SPchief 11-13-2006 02:40 PM

What time does the sun come up? I don't like this nightvision shit

Yep; I expect any minute to see some crocodile come springing up out of the water hole just any second.

Rain Man 11-13-2006 02:42 PM

Hey. Something just ran by.

greg63 11-13-2006 02:42 PM

Now there's talking and laughing.

Have you checked out the bear cam? It has been snowing in BC all day.

Rain Man 11-13-2006 02:44 PM

I was in northern Australia once and a bunch of flying foxes flew overhead and landed in a tree nearby. They're enormous bats - we're talking enormous - like three feet wingspans or more. I had no idea they came in that size.

This is badass....cool link.

I've only seen two birds

Fairplay 11-13-2006 09:44 PM

Its daybreak, there should be action soon. Nightime there isn't a whole lot happening.

Fairplay 11-13-2006 09:46 PM

The camera is panning around, heh.

Dunit35 11-13-2006 09:48 PM

I want to see something badass.

Fairplay 11-13-2006 09:54 PM

A kill at the waterhole is not unlikely. Predators follow their prey.
Both have a common denominator, the waterhole.

Dunit35 11-13-2006 09:58 PM

Did anybody see that worm lookin thing? What was that...a huge ass centipede?

Dunit35 11-13-2006 10:02 PM

sweet...some monkeys.

I think the camera was trying to look for poop. Seriously. To see if any animals were resting close to the camera during the night. Animals always poop. Which would give out the indication that an animal was there.

B2chiefsfan 11-13-2006 10:04 PM

They just showed a Giant Centipede!!!

Has anyone here seen a Giant Centipede???

Yikes!! I'm not too squimish on critters, but I would shoot one on sight!!!

Here's a video clip one eating a mouse: Not for the squimish!!!!!

That centipede they showed looked huge.

Monkeys jumping around in the trees is pretty cool.

I find it amusing that we're all watching some damn centipede at a watering hole thousands of miles away.... when we're supposed to be working.... and posting about it on the planet........

Good times...

Dunit35 11-13-2006 10:10 PM

How does the camera know when to move to something? I'm sure it's been said on here before.

If you ever watch Meerkat Mannor, those centipedes are about all they eat. they roll them around in the sand first to get some yucky tasting coating off them, and then eat them. It's funny watching the little squirts roll a centipede that's damn near as big as they are and then munching it.

The camera is controlled by some camp a few miles away i would surmise. Surely some tax program by our beloved goverment is supporting this somehow. Or through the UN.
Those nature lovers have to do something in the morning like control the camera, while furiously someone is jotting down notes for the university.
To what is taking place before the camera lens.

Over in that area, to the right is where I seen the elephant yesterday.

Standing at the edge of the bush and looking right at the camera.

I think this is just a painting or something. I still haven't seen any animals other than the occasional insect and something that ran across the screen once way in the background.
