I took a trip an hour down the road to Beaumont this afternoon to check for some Prairie Bomb akd a few other things. The Prairie Artisan selection was lacking, but I did grab that bottle in the pic and the Prairie hop. I really like the Prairie hop.

TimBone 08-20-2014 07:12 PM

I was also hoping that Dogfish Head Punkin Ale was in stock already. I knew that was wishful thinking, though.

Where are you? They're carrying it pretty heavy at most stores in Fayetteville (maybe you're north in MO, though?)

Its extremely hard to not drink this bottle this year, but I won't do it. only on special nights, except for this night because its draft night. it takes the back shelf after this. I do however drink the w.l. weller 12 year which is the same exact recipe as pappy 12 but the only difference is pappy chooses their casks first and whats left over goes to weller.

BigOlChiefsfan 08-24-2014 11:38 PM

Bingo! Weller 12 is the 'best unkept secret' going these days. Good whusky!

Austin brewery makes 99-pack of beer for sale

99 cans of beer in pack, 99 cans in a pack…

Whether they were inspired by the world's most famous song about beer or not, an Austin brewery has made a 99 can pack of beer for sale.

Austin Beerworks thinks it's a pretty good deal – 99 cans of beer for $99.

The brewery's Anytime Ale is the only one available, which is probably a good thing since the brewery said the beer is so “balanced and refreshing that you can enjoy it, well, anytime.”

The brewery made 20 of the 99-packs for its first run of sales, which will begin in time for the upcoming Labor Day weekend. Locations of the packs will be announced on the brewery's social media channel.

But bring a big car – the final shot of the brewery's video shows the 99 pack hanging out both sides of the backseat windows of a sedan.

Other than just being beer, how is this great with red meat? I'm not being a critic, it's just when I'm defending why I'm buying a sixer of brew with a cuss word on it LMAO it might be helpful..

Flying Dog is a local brewery based in Frederick MD. They have GREAT beer and their Oyster Stout, called Pearl Necklace is also delicious.
http://flyingdogbrewery.com/

While the names of the brews can be politically incorrect and offensive to some, they use these as marketing tools to drive sales and brand recognition.

THIS BEER IS NOT SOME SORT OF NOVELTY like Fat Bastard wine or the like.

If you are a true beer lover, you will be impressed, I guarantee. :thumb:

GloryDayz 09-07-2014 06:46 AM

Cool to know. I spent a lot of my young life, and parts of my Navy years in Va. Beach, and I never knew many brews that were all that great. If I can find it locally, I'll give it a shot for sure.

And if the pearl necklace does go well with oysters, of which I'm a HUGE fan, I'm game there too...

Not sure when I'll get back to Annapolis again, but if nothing else I'm sure sure I'll find it between there and Va. Beach (driving down the DELMARVA...), and some of those shack the Ches-bay side are worth the trip back east for sure..
