Would you be willing to trade future 1st round picks?

https://first-pick.com/Default.aspx

In this game I traded both the 2019 & 2020 first rounders to move up.

I ended up with this draft.

Your Picks:

Round 2 Pick 4 (IND): Davis, Carlton, CB, Auburn (A-)

Round 2 Pick 5 (IND): Oliver, Isaiah, CB, Colorado (B)

Round 2 Pick 10 (MIA): Price, Billy, C/OG, Ohio State (A)

Round 2 Pick 17 (IND): Allen, Marcus, FS, Penn State (B+)

Round 2 Pick 22: Carter, Lorenzo, OLB, Georgia (A)

Round 4 Pick 22: Settle, Tim, DT, Virginia Tech (A+)

Round 4 Pick 24: Hall, PJ, DT/DE, Sam Houston State (A+)

Round 6 Pick 22: Coutee, Keke, WR, Texas Tech (A+)

Round 7 Pick 15: DeLuca, Nick, ILB, North Dakota State (A)

Round 7 Pick 25: Izzo, Ryan, TE, Florida State (A+)

BryanBusby 04-24-2018 07:49 AM

That would be ****ing idiotic. Hope that clears everything up for you.

Shaid 04-24-2018 08:12 AM

So you traded two 1s away and got no first round selection? I'm ready to sign the papers to make you our GM right now!

tmax63 04-24-2018 08:30 AM

5 2nd rd picks is pretty intriguing though.

Mother****erJones 04-24-2018 08:33 AM

What in the actual ****? You traded 2019 and 2020 1sts and didn’t get into the top 10?

And no! I’m not trading future 1s.

The Franchise 04-24-2018 08:39 AM

So...that’s a no?

I’ve been trying to get the 33, 35, 36, 37 & 49 from Cleveland & Indy along with keeping our 54 but no success.

6 picks in the top 54 would bring back a haul in this draft. No first rounders in 2019 & 2020 but Mahomes would be setup to win now.

Dante84 04-24-2018 08:46 AM

In this scenario we would have five second round picks due for an extension the same offseason Mahomes will be cashing in on his monster deal. And that’s if they work out. We would have to let everyone walk pretty much.

I wasn’t thinking about the salary cap situation. I was trying to get as much talent as I could this season for Mahomes to roll with.

I was just playing with the idea.

I hear you. Short term payoff could be big, but I think it’s too big of a gamble in terms of risking the future.

saphojunkie 04-24-2018 10:41 AM

I get what you're doing, but you're better off waiting for those picks to come around, trading down in the draft, and spreading your second rounders over three years. There is the aforementioned contract expiration but also there is the consideration that you don't want 10 rookies coming in at the same time. Focus on assimilating a couple guys at a time.

Hog's Gone Fishin 04-24-2018 03:54 PM

I'd give next years 1 which will be #28-32 and a 3rd if we could draft Nelson which will be in the top 10 this year.

That would be rejected.

I was just trying to fill up the roster with elite talent (Top 64) for Mahomes this season. Get him a LG, Safety, Corners, Edge rusher to make this team ready for his first season.

Just seeing what it would take.

I’m not trading future picks unless it’s like what Veach did during camp. Acquire Ragland for a future 4. Next year we’ll have a 1, 2 2s and 3 to start.

I haven’t heard much about the strength of the 2019 class. Good or Bad?

No clue yet. Haven’t begun researching it

Stout draft for fatties

Looks strong at EDGE and DT

Pasta Little Brioni 04-25-2018 08:17 PM

What would possess you do do that?

Chargem 04-25-2018 11:55 PM

Why not trade the next 20 years of first rounders to get 10 first round picks this year!

warrior 04-26-2018 06:41 AM

You only trade 1st round pics to get a Quarterback---see last years draft

Would you be willing to trade future 1st round picks?

Watching the NFLN Top 10 Draft Moments. I knew it was a bad trade but didn’t think it was this bad.

Quote:

With limited leverage, Saints' General Manager Bill Kuharich and Head Coach Mike Ditka began discussing trades with the teams holding the first five selections.

The Saints offered nine draft picks to the Cincinnati Bengals for the third overall choice, but the Bengals declined the deal.

The Saints traded their first round, third round, fourth round, fifth round, sixth round, and seventh round picks in the 1999 NFL Draft, and their first-round and third-round picks from the 2000 NFL Draft to the Washington Redskins for the fifth overall pick of the 1999 NFL Draft.

This became the biggest NFL trade for one player since 1959.

The Redskins traded the 12th overall pick, the third-round draft pick acquired from the Saints, and their fourth- and fifth-round picks to the Chicago Bears to acquire the seventh overall pick.

The Redskins used the pick to select Champ Bailey, the player they had coveted. They also made a second trade with the Bears, acquiring a second-round pick that allowed them to select Jon Jansen, in exchange for a second round pick and the fifth round pick acquired from the Saints.

THE TRADE:

Traded to New Orleans
1999
first round pick (5th overall, Ricky Williams)

Traded to Washington
1999
first round pick (12th overall, later traded to Chicago, used to select Cade McNown)
third round pick (71st overall, later traded to Chicago, used to select D'Wayne Bates)
fourth round pick (107th overall, used to select Nate Stimson)
fifth round pick (144th overall, later traded to Chicago, used to select Khari Samuel)
sixth round pick (179th overall, later traded to Denver, used to select Desmond Clark)
seventh round pick (218th overall, later traded to Denver, used to select Billy Miller)

2000
first round pick (2nd overall, used to select LaVar Arrington)
third round pick (64th overall, used to select Lloyd Harrison)

Early consensus is that possibly 5 total Edge and DTs could go in the top 15 in the 1st round.

Since he wants to be king draft guru and supreme douche, you guys will have staylor's vast knowledge and superior insight on prospects going forward.

As for me, that's the bulk of my input for the 2019 draft.

Let's see all the expert analysis he continues to bring to the board and all the prospects he gets on top of early that rise up draft boards. I'm excited.

Cheers.

JFC you have to be the biggest pussy I’ve ever encountered on a message board.

You threatened to leave before because somebody hurt your feelings, yet here you are.

You threatened to block me and told me to do the same, yet here you are randomly bringing me up in a thread trying to engage in an argument again.

Have some conviction or stop getting so butthurt over what a stranger on the internet says.

kccrow 05-01-2018 07:26 PM

You continue to bring me up, yet are butthurt when I bring you up?. What a reeruned little kid you are. Here's your chance dumb****, don't mess it up.

The only ****ing embarrassment is what a stupid ****ing little **** you are. You provide no real content. You have no original ideas. You criticize everyone else. You're nothing. You're a piece of shit. Yet here you are, pretending you're something. I look forward to seeing how much knowledge you present to us all in the coming years. What a ****ing treat it will be.

No chance it would ever fall like this but overall, I would be all in on something like this:

Your Picks:
Round 2 Pick 8 (ARI): Jaylon Johnson, CB, Utah (B)
Round 2 Pick 31: Lloyd Cushenberry III, C/OG, LSU (B+)
Round 3 Pick 6 (MIA): Patrick Queen, ILB, LSU (A+)
Round 3 Pick 12 (T.B.): Ben Bredeson, OG, Michigan (B+)
Round 3 Pick 32: Cam Akers, RB, Florida State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 11 (T.B.): KJ Hill, WR, Ohio State (A+)
Round 4 Pick 32: Nick Coe, DE, Auburn (A+)
Round 5 Pick 31: Leki Fotu, DT, Utah (A+)

I thought it was bad seeing Queen in the 3rd (not to mention Johnson and Cushenberry later than expected), but Fotu in the 5th is downright laughable.

Like you said, it sure would be amazing haha.

ChiefAshhole1056 03-03-2020 02:02 AM

Only way I’d give up a first is if it’s to acquire a player that would raise this teams ceiling the most. Imo that’d be Ruggs and I think I’d pull the trigger. He would make the offense literally unstoppable and allows to fill the WR2 spot cheaply.

UK_Chief 03-04-2020 01:29 AM

Why not? Our first round picks will all be at #32 for the next decade so basically second rounders

That 5th year option is valuable when drafting a QB in the first round.

KChiefs1 03-21-2020 04:40 PM

Talk about a bad trade.
https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...56340643.plist

KChiefs1 04-10-2020 12:02 PM

The Chiefs could trade picks No. 32, No. 96 and No. 138 (743 in value) to Lions for picks No. 35, No. 85, and No. 149 (745.6 in value) to move up in the 3rd round.

staylor26 04-10-2020 05:59 PM

Damn that draft sucked LMAO

BossChief 04-10-2020 06:04 PM

I’d gladly give next years first for a mid second this year.

In a heartbeat
