Jeff Beck RIP
Thought I'd put this here after the discussion to keep the main forum less cluttered with obits.
Guitar genius passed away at 78 y/o. Jeff's passing is kind of a big deal to me and some others possibly. Jeff Beck, one of the most innovative and influential guitar gods of the 1960s’ British Invasion and the No. 5 entry on Rolling Stone’s ranking of the 100 greatest guitarists of all time, has died suddenly at age 78. The shocking news — which comes just two months after the eight-time Grammy-winner and two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee wrapped his concert tour with friend Johnny Depp to promote their 2022 collaborative album, 18 — was announced Tuesday by his publicist, Melissa Dragich. |

For those who aren't as familiar, Jeff wasn't as famous as his closest peers, Page and Clapton and Hendrix mainly. But in the guitar world he is Legend - the guitar player's guitar player. His innovative techniques are untouchable.
Heh, I see this is in the main forum anyway, feel dumb now. :) |
A year sure flies by.
RIP Jeff. |
RIP guitar legend…
