No problem... NFL games on Saturdays this fall...

Good news: There may be NFL football on Saturdays this year.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the NFL likely will move games from Sundays to Saturday, if college football doesn’t proceed this season. It’s unclear whether the games would be broadcast, streamed, or distributed on a pay-per-view basis, but the league likely would backfill the vacant Saturday windows with NFL content.

Trevor Lawrence gets it...

You must feel warm inside knowing that a future #1 pick in the NFL draft has opinions just as ridiculous as most of yours on the subject.

There is no money for the players. It’s non-essential. Forcing players to risk their health so others can make money? No way that’s happening in today’s environment.

I texted some of my SEC buddies after I read the OP. They’re melting down over it. Lol

He could be right about the expenses thing if the university is doing everything virtually, but the "social distancing is highly unlikely" thing is a complete guess. As opposed to what? Being on a football team and sharing a locker room with 100 other guys?

I was totally surprised when I moved down here. SEC football is the almighty, all consuming sport down here for so many.

All of the SEC except for Vanderbilt are public state schools and there will be intense political pressure to play the season.

Pay per view? Surely not. That would put the NFL on MLB level of stupidity from a business perspective.
