Back in business.

Still no official announcement about what went wrong with AMOS-6, but presumably that will be coming soon.

About time. Thanks DaFace.

Related to this thread, apparently the Russians lost their ISS-bound resupply mission today. It's not been a good couple of years for ISS missions. :(

That article doesn't say anything about lost lives so this was an unmanned resupply ship?

Correct.

DaFace 12-08-2016 05:14 PM

Well, now they're saying early January. Oh well.

DaFace 01-02-2017 09:41 PM

OK, let's try this again. From the official account this time.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Targeting return to flight from Vandenberg with the <a href="https://twitter.com/IridiumComm">@IridiumComm</a> NEXT launch on January 8. Update: <a href="https://t.co/15yMaiobpX">https://t.co/15yMaiobpX</a></p>&mdash; SpaceX (@SpaceX) <a href="https://twitter.com/SpaceX/status/815920600258490370">January 2, 2017</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Actual launch time will be 10:28am PST (going off of the west coast this time).

So when do we start terraforming Mars?

It's been ages since they've launched from the west coast. Seems weird these days not to have the lightning towers in the shot.

Here's hoping that they don't pump diesel into the unleaded tank again.
