I've seen enough Mathenaging to empathize. To be honest, if you were merely playing the percentages, Holland would be the guy to use there because the leverage is so high. However, Wade Davis has gone more than three outs several times, which means he and Herrera could take the next three. Also, you could bifurcate them with a LOOGY if need be.

Yost is just a mother****er who thinks he's playing chess when he couldn't beat a three year old at checkers.

Ned has only made the move he did tonight one other time before tonight. Normally it's every reliever has his set inning and that's it.

So he actually did something rare for him.

This is the day for their normal side session. Again, having Ventura pitch is not a problem in and of itself, but you don't bring starting pitchers into the game with runners on base, especially if you have better options in the pen at the time. It's just bad baseball.
