Yeah, I knew Clay would love this and he hasn't even gotten to the good parts yet. There's so much fan service.

I do think this past episode was probably the best episode they've done yet of this show (in the 3 seasons).

Agreed. Cant think of a better episode in its 2+ year run.

Yes, so what its fan service, There is no chance for Emmys. Why not give the fans what they want? Profits roll in.

we need more Worf and Klingons, not those BS ones from Discovery either.

It's amazing how much better this is than season two.

They dumped all the social justice crap and whoever wrote this is FAR more creative. Last season was just a hamfisted rip off of Star Trek IV.

THIS? Someone made it fresh but added a dash of Star Trek II and III because they know those are my favorite flavors. LMAO

WORF'S ****ING INTRO LMAO LMAO

Dunno what got into the cast but they're absolutely knocking it out of the park, too. I am obliged to stay up for another episode.

I bailed about halfway through season 2. It was Discovery-level awful. Season 3 (so far) is a complete 180.

Hammock Parties 03-12-2023 11:50 PM

Good god. I haven't felt like this since Riker gave the order to fire on the Borg.

And there's still five episodes left!

Hammock Parties 03-13-2023 12:02 AM

HOLY SHIT I MEAN SIX!!! THERE ARE SIX MORE GLORIOUS EPISODES OF THIS?!?!

We're getting the TNG movies we should have got after First Contact instead of those hamfisted attempts at turning the crew into action stars.

It's best not to anger Worf while he's manning a phase cannon on the back of a Jeep Space Rubicon*.

*I will admit I thoroughly enjoyed the battle between the Enterprise and the two Romulan warbirds against Shinzon and the Scimitar, though. Highly underrated space battle (that movie is over 20 years old, btw  )

Hammock Parties 03-13-2023 08:19 PM

so anyway, just speculating but

Spoiler!

Jamie 03-16-2023 02:35 AM

I woke up and couldn't fall back to sleep, and after seeing your post I went ahead and watched it.

Holy shit, that was amazing. You're right - best Star Trek episode in decades. Best Star Trek anything in decades.

Clay, you'd better have a defibrillator standing by when you watch this one.

Two words: RO LAREN

Oh lighten up Francis. She's in the episode from the beginning and is instantly recognizable. It's not like I said what she does.
