****OFFICIAL NBA Regular Season Thread****

Let's get it on... finally

I'm ready.. some good games today!

RealSNR 12-25-2011 11:02 AM

Everybody ready for this wild ass prediction?

Here it goes.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will make the playoffs this year.

I know, I know. But I've been watching Kevin Love and Beasley play together. Derrick Williams is really doing a fantastic job as well. Adelman will give these guys something they haven't had in the years under Rambis- coaching. QUALITY coaching. I think that's what they really really needed, and they'll get it.

dirk digler 12-25-2011 11:02 AM

Today's slate of games:

11:00 AM - Knicks at Celtics - TNT

1:30PM - Finals Rematch Heat at Dallas - ABC

4:00PM - Bulls at Lakers - ABC

7:00PM - Orlando at Oklahoma City - ESPN

9:30PM - Clippers at Golden State - ESPN

I'll watch the first 3 games. Switch to SNF at 8pm and then catch some of the Clippers later.

I don't think it is that wild. I watched the Timberwolves game in preseason and with Rubio and the 2 big men they are going to be a tough out. I definitely think they will be in the playoffs

dirk digler 12-25-2011 11:06 AM

WTF? Rondo hits both of his FT's

DaKCMan AP 12-25-2011 11:07 AM

Every team has holes. The Knicks back court is below average. The Celtics are geriatric and although I like Brandon Bass they'll miss not having either Big Baby or Perkins.

Fritz88 12-25-2011 11:07 AM

They should shorten the NBA season.

Jermaine O'Neal is a waste of oxygen.

dirk digler 12-25-2011 11:15 AM

Not a good start for my Celtics except for Rondo

The Celtics have to pray that Rondo can consistently knock down that mid-range jumper.

It is really early but it looks like Rondo took all the criticism to heart and has worked on his FT's and jumpshot this off season.

So far he looks better in that aspect but the season will tell the story.

teedubya 12-25-2011 11:47 AM

This must be where the 12% who give a shit about NBA hang out?

Spott 12-25-2011 11:51 AM

Lebron James is still a bitch without a ring.

Say that as much as you can now because you won't be able to after June.

DaKCMan AP 12-25-2011 12:26 PM

Charles has slimmed down some. Shaq is such a fake POS. Fraud.

Hammock Parties 12-25-2011 12:33 PM

Shaq is hilarious.

LMAO

Joey Crawford is out of control.

DaKCMan AP 12-25-2011 01:38 PM

Wade blocks VC then hits Bron for an easy layup. :)

at least they got the season started on time. The NBA doesn't get even remotely interesting until a week before the playoffs start.

MIAMI 32
dallas 17

End of 1

Shogun 12-25-2011 02:19 PM

My C's lost :(

Oh well, no Pierce, and Rondo shit on them

DaKCMan AP 12-25-2011 02:37 PM

Dallas getting raped. LMAO

DaKCMan AP 12-25-2011 02:56 PM

Despite an awful 12/20 from the FT line, Miami up 21 at half.

Yeah...it's quite something to go from watching KU to watching these guys. It's amazing how ridiculously good they are.

KC_Connection 12-25-2011 03:35 PM

Dallas is undoubtedly going to be inferior this season without Chandler. They just won't be anywhere near as good defensively.

Miami should finish with the best record in the East this season, not Chicago. But, of course, whether they win a championship will come down to LeBron's ability to perform in the clutch in the playoffs.

okcchief 12-25-2011 03:36 PM

This game pretty much went as expected. It's gonna take Dallas some time to gel and even when they do they won't be what they were.

Miami is definitely the team that strikes fear in me this year.

Going to the Peak now. Thunder up bitches!!!!

what type of person is he? He doesn't come across as a bad person to me. He's goofy and arrogant but he has earned the right to be cocky, he's the most dominating player in history.

I have no desire for anyone's autograph. Unless it's on a check made out to me.

Buck 12-25-2011 05:53 PM

Damn, the Heat destroyed the Mavs, huh?

I forgot that the games were on. How did the Knicks/Celts look?

Buck 12-25-2011 06:05 PM

****ing Rose. He's too good.

Buck 12-25-2011 06:58 PM

You've gotta be ****ing kidding me.

Why the **** did Kobe try to pass that to Gasol?

Just take the foul!

Buck 12-25-2011 06:59 PM

God Damnit.

That was so gay.

ChiefsCountry 12-25-2011 07:04 PM

Not a bad start to the NBA season with the Celtics and Lakers losing, and the Heat blowing out the Mavs.

-King- 12-25-2011 07:11 PM

Worst 4 minutes of basketball I've ever seen.

Spott 12-25-2011 07:15 PM

Hell yeah, nice win to start the season. Way to pull it out of the fire Chicago. :)

Hammock Parties 12-25-2011 07:24 PM

That was definitely an up and down in the Lakers game. Horrible non call.

The foul on kobe a minute earlier was even worse. He didn't even touch him.

With that said, Lakers didn't deserve to win that game. Those last few minutes were ****ing awful.

Amen! D-Rose MVP!!!

I was stuck with my g/f family all day and missed the first 3 games. I see the Mavs were MIA today as well

Thunder killing the Magic. And I don't care what anyone says Durant is the best player in the NBA right now

Kobe's play has declined quite a bit he's not the best player anymore IMO. Still good no doubt but not like he used to be.

dirk digler 12-26-2011 07:05 PM

DTV is offering NBA League Pass for free now through 1-8-12.

Some decent games tonight especially the Thunder vs Timberwolves. I am kind of excited to see the new look Wolves.

Buck 12-26-2011 07:09 PM

Don't tell anyone, but I'm a closet Spurs fan now.

Al Bundy 12-26-2011 07:15 PM

Buck were you a San Diego Clippers fan? Or were they out of SD before you were born?

starting to get chippy in the Wolves game

Buck 12-26-2011 07:25 PM

Westbrook has always had a short temper.

Buck 12-26-2011 07:26 PM

And not to sound gay or anything, but Kevin Love looks much better with hair.

PunkinDrublic 12-26-2011 07:28 PM

That was a cute little blowout yesterday by the heat. Too bad it's meaningless. The whole world saw how soft Lebron really is when faced with adversity in the finals.

I didn't find out the Clippers came from San Diego until about 5 years ago or else I probably would have rolled with them.

Dang, I thought they had been in LA longer than that. That's about the same time the Kings left KC.
