Aminoclonazepam is the benzo you tested positive for, it is a metabolite of Klonopin. The threshold for positive was 25 ng/ml, you tested high at 466

Generally when someone tests positive for a benzo they do a confirmation with various metabolites to determine which benzo is responsible for the positive screen.
This merely states your urine was positive for Klonopin

It is just a metabolite of the klonpin. Basically just one of the markers used in a toxicology test to determine use of benzodiazepines.

So the 466 is nothing to be concerned about?

Anything over 25 would be a positive, so the 466 means little. This is consistent with someone taking Klonopin. The actual concentration is rarely useful in the interpretation of a urine drug screen.

As long as you reported your Klonopin I don't see why this would be an issue.

As long as you have a script for it and notified them of your use you should be good.

How much klonopin are you taking daily?

dlphg9 08-25-2019 12:18 PM

Replied, but they already answered for you.

He says in his post. 1.5 mg

Just to be clear - I am prescribed the klonipin by my psych doctor, (she ordered the tox screen). I take it as prescribed. I take one once a year just to ensure I'm not taking any other controlled substances.

My main concern was seeing that large number that said it was high. I questioned if maybe my body wasn't disposing of the Mexica medicine properly.

Thank you for the helpful answers. You've put my mind at ease!

The part that confused me was below that, it said this

Aminoclonazepam 466 H
25 ng/mL

I don't know what the range for Aminoclonazepam is supposed to be, and can't find any information on it anywhere.

Not a problem, if you had tested below 25, the doctor would have been concerned that you are not taking the medication at all, which is suspicious for diverting your medication

You know, I want to comment on this.

Im not exactly sure how the medical system works in the U.S. with respect to results. I know in Canada, if the results are good they don’t call you. Its this whole concept of “no news is good news” bullshit. I never agreed with that approach.

What if the results are lost or misplaced? What if there is a false alarm or misdiagnosis? For those reasons; I take my own initiative to find out what exactly what is going on regardless if the results are good or bad. And its always wise to get a second opinion. The medical system is flawed and lots of doctors screw up. As a patient, I try to compensate as much as possible.

Our US doctors don't make mistakes. :)
