Looks pretty decent. Pine is a heck of an actor.

Is this a prequel to Braveheart? Wasn't Robert the Bruce the one that turned on William Wallace?

I'm guessing not. And yes....that Robert the Bruce....I believe.

Most history books say the rebellion failed because the people thought an English or Scottish rule wouldn’t matter to them, make their lives better.

The average person didn’t understand freedom and having your own country at that time in our development as humans.

Robert the Bruce led a helluva life. Lots of material to cover.

In the theatrical cut of Braveheart after the Mel Gibson voiceover they had an ending caption of how many years Scotland had independence from England

The local noble was much more important to the lives of the peasants than the king. The king was normally far off and had little effect on their lives. The nobility on the other hand did care.

Very good. Pine was great in the role.

Thank you for this thread, fellas. I wouldn't have known to watch this great film otherwise.

Really well-written and directed and the acting was unbelievable.

Was he though? Looked like a scrawny nerd with a beer belly to me. Was hard for me to see 'greatness' there. I watched it yesterday. Was pretty good.
