RB3?
Is Louis Reese-Zammit our 3rd RB? A recent ESPN article seemingly indicated he's our kick returner and he's been working out with the RBs and preparing for a "versatile role." I assume that means something like a scat-back position, could Zammit be our McKinnon replacement?
or should it be one of the UDFA's? I saw the kid from UCLA mentioned as a FB, but he ran for like 1,500 yards one season. Bailey passes the eye test, seems like the most likely option to me, but what's up with that RAS score? We were discussing in a thread somewhere but I lost track of which thread lol |
Nick Jacobs is usually pretty hard on grading but said he came away impressed with all the guys trying out for the RB room this weekend. More speed than expected.

Who knows at this stage as Deneric Prince was looking sharp early on but it didn’t translate to games.
|
I still think we sign McKinnon.
But Reid ran a certain amount of WR-at RB plays last year, first with Toney, then with Rice. I wouldn't be super shocked if some of that happened. |
We're gonna try to make him our Deebo.
|
I'd give Emani Bailey a strong chance at winning that job
|
I’m really hoping for the rugby guy to work out. Probably a longshot, although he is clearly a gifted athlete.
Probably just wait and see and if nothing works out then sign McKinnon. Nothing left in free agency looks very appealing. |
Not exactly fond of the Chiefs re-signing CEH and not drafting his replacement instead.
|
LRZ probably can't be your 3rd down back this year. You can't trust a guy who has never taken a snap in a pro game with pass protection?
|
I personally think LRZ's path to making the team is scat back.

After Thanksgiving for end of season/playoff stretch would be nice. |
This is more concerning than WR for me. Pacheco’ style dictates more injuries as he gets older and I sure as hell don’t want Clyde out there getting significant play time.
|
CEH is a fine #2. He's not good, but he is fine as a change up.
They need a legit game breaker though. Pach will break down sooner than later. |

He's adequate

This is the position to watch this summer I think, probably the most exciting competition we have.
That, and 2nd TE, would love to hear Wiley's showing out in camp and wins the spot in preseason! |
A little surprised we weren't interested in Ekler, seems like a great replacement for Mckinnon.

Eckler didn’t look like eckler to me last year. Another year does t bode well.

Worthy - PR
LRZ - KR |

You guys think we resign Pachecco after next season?
...seems pretty likely to me at this point, I think he comes back at a decent price. |

No he won't be back.
Style isn't gonna hold up. Prince is probably the 3rd RB this year, |

But I'm starting to feel like Pachecco won't demand much on the open market and can be kept for small contract. He's not an all around back, this might be the first year he's a 3rd down back, he's more of a speed guy that fits really well into our offense. If that's the case, I think they'd bring him back. |

The difference between a good and a great RB isn't that much and it's not worth dumping a high draft pick, plus we are never going to PAY a RB, so even if we were to draft a freaking Barry Sanders, they'd walk after 3 or 4 years anyway. I just see the RB position as having a low ROI compared to pretty much any other position right now. Hell, even if we had Barry Sanders, I don't see teams loading the box to stop the run against us, considering who we have behind the center and calling plays. |
