I watched StoneMountain's reveal of this game. Looks pretty fun. I was burned out on FPS games for a long time, maybe now I can get back into it. Got so many other games I have to finish too though.

I still play BF4 all the time... and I mean all the time. I think just about anyone would be shocked if I told you how many hours I have in the game. I will be at least trying this but I may want to upgrade my video card but it seems like those are hard to come by right now due to the chip shortage.

Oh trust me, I played the hell out of BF3 and BF4. I have been playing still to this day BF1 which came out in 2016. I will preorder this this one. The mutiplayer in these games is incredible!

I have both BF1 and BF5 and just didn't like them at all. Always got pulled back to BF4. I hope this one rocks.

I LOVED BF1 and thought BF5 was a joke.

The trailer is nice but I would like to see some actual gameplay footage. 64 v 64 is going to be ****ing epic regardless, though.

Actually I get that! BF4 was and still is, an awesome game! Love how they "modified" maps from BF3 like Metro and the "flooding" and other twists on those BF3 maps! :thumb:

Same. My gaming skills have eroded so badly from lack of time to actually game that I'm exclusively campaign/single player guy if and when I game anymore.

I am glad they are going this way. I was hoping for this or a generations version. Start in desert storm, then current, then future. You get 3 eras to play in.

I've never played a BF game before, but that looks pretty cool. Chaotic as hell, but pretty cool...

I loved BF3; I had never played a BF game up to that point, and wasn't a real big FPS gamer.
I never played online either until then. Played mainly with randoms on a team; but there was one session where I somehow made it to a team of mostly randoms, but a few of them I think played together often. It was absolutely awesome playing as a role

i played primarily as a Support role, and I think we mainly played Conquest; was so cool to lay down a ton of fire as my guys would move up to a position; then cover for me as I moved up; drop down some ammo and grenades for them etc. I think that session I played for like 8 hours (which I never do); time flew by, and it was so much fun. Ended up getting friend requests from them, and played for another 6 months or so fairly often with them. Then, things sort of fizzled out with a lot of them/ me / busy with life etc. Really enjoyed the Conquest mode; moving as a team and just wrecking stuff / other teams that didn't play as a team.

BF3 was probably the most fun i can remember playing a game. It's been years; I think I bought BF4, but we moved, and I was never able to find it. Last I played BF3 was probably 2014 maybe.

I drink too much booze while I'm gaming. I'd have to do a catheter to survive an 8hr nonstop FPS session.

Got off shooters for a long time after high school and just recently got back into them when pubg hit. I haven't played BF since 1942 and a little bit of vietnam but my computer could barely handle vietnam back then.

Watching that 2042 trailer just looked like I was watching some virtual reality for the next stunts to be in fast and furious. Everything is so damn over the top ridiculous any more.

Try being a 50-year old burnout. My reflexes can't keep up at all. I get smoked.

Once the kids get older, you'll get some of your gaming time back. Of course, by then, you'll be too old and tired to play FPS games. ROFL

They do now. I haven’t played FPS multiplayer games in a long time. Not being able to pause and go do shit is a no go for me.

Yes, it is just the wife and I now. Our youngest is finishing college and has her own place. My wife knows that my wind down is video games in the man cave.
I completely love my better half but need my man cave time - it works.

You're not the only one. BFBC2 and BF3 were my prime BF days.

I actually played with Kraus and a couple of IRL friends A LOT back then. He was a regular on CP at the time.

For those saying your "Older" and FPS games are not for you. The nice thing about Battle Field is that if you play it right, and you setup in a good spot with a team.... The kills just come to you.

Call of Duty turned me off of FPS games for a long time. I enjoyed them up until COD Ghost, then each game after seemed to get more and more ridiculous. Soured me on buying any more FPS.

I have been playing Borderlands 3 which has been quite fun. Great humor to that game.

The closest I come to FPS is Far Cry.

Hopefully they do not make it fast twitched. They hired some cod people for this. I like bf because it is slower ttk.

Bf 2142 was my favorite with the titan game mode.

If we get enough I am good on squading up. I can play Xbox one or PC.

If you like BL3….go back and play 1 and 2. Borderlands is my favorite series.

That's no shit. Most modern FPS games always eventually result in armies of ****ing nerdy jackoffs who learn to exploit every single little detail possible to give them a camping advantage. "Oh, you didn't know that if you hang upside down by the forth tree next to the garage, and wear this outfit while cupping your balls like so, there's a line of sight were nobody can see you!"

That is every game now.

I only do it to unlock shit. Blame the devs for putting in you need 50 headshots from a crouched or leaning position.

Good news is those teams that do that lose 90percent of the time.

I like to mess around in GTA V from time to time and tried going online. Was murdered within 5 seconds by a drive by shooter. Every time. Every single time.

I thought the new Modern Warfare was incredibly good.

I've not been able to get into games for a long time.

But this is definitely intriguing me.

It'd be cool to have a CP squad.

I remember playing COD with Pants, HawkInHutch and a couple of other guys from here years ago. It was always a good time.

That's why I like PVE on Ark and I'm looking forward to Valheim. I'd prefer to build something with people over repeatedly shooting each other in the face and taking things away from people.

Perhaps my old age, I don't know. I think it's more fun to say "Hey, see that? Me and Fish and Fatzod built that thing. Look at that."

Yup I fire up the Ark server with my buds once in a while, I'm hoping Ark 2 uses the same model with improved graphics should be a good time. ;)

I'm beginning to think Michael Bay consulted when designing this game.

I am worried about them hiring the cod boss.

I do not want fast-paced twitch games coming to bf.

I wonder if they will allow private servers again. I think the game play gets a lot of people to come and play but allowing private servers to run the game gets a lot of people to stick around and play it long term.

There used to be a BF4 server that was 24/7 metro and only allowed bullets and knives... no explosives. It was the best server ever to get good with a gun. On the weekend they would do fun rounds where they would only allow maybe one weapon... maybe a pistol, maybe a knife, maybe a defibrillator. If you have never seen a round of guys walking around trying to charge their defibrillators and kill someone with it... it is one of the funniest rounds I have ever played. I was laughing my ass off the entire time. You will never get that from their servers... never.
