Should we lend them a QB to give them a chance?

St. Patty's Fire 11-29-2020 07:59 PM

Need another 300 yards and 3tds for Mahomes runaway MVP campaign

Next two games should be dubs, then we have the play the actual good team from the nfc south

They WILL have a capable QB and WILL be a competitive opponent.

43-6 Chiefs.

alanm 11-29-2020 08:09 PM

I'm worried their going to play down to the Bronco's level and come out flat. They have a tendency to do so at times. :shake:

Rasputin 11-29-2020 08:10 PM

Just like the Raiders

**** the Broncos

OrtonsPiercedTaint 11-29-2020 08:18 PM

comochiefsfan 11-29-2020 08:22 PM

Mahomes will throw for 300 and 3 TDs before Andy neuters him in the second half.

Peter Gibbons 11-29-2020 08:29 PM

Seems only fair as I am sure all their fans are always talking about us.
I don’t see that changing anytime soon.
Enjoy your pot. Broncos fans, you are going to need an escape for the foreseeable future.
I remember that hell. I don’t miss it.

Perhaps the league could allow the Broncos, Jets, Bengals, and Detroit to play some sort of “best ball” where each of these four teams gets a play and they get to use the best play as their official one? It would at least take longer for them to lose.

FloridaMan88 11-29-2020 09:11 PM

It is surprising NBC didn’t flex this game out of SNF.

What would Mahomes’s stats look like if he played for a coach like Harbaugh who loves the garbage stats?

It sure seems like Reid is very comfortable shutting things down when the game seems out of hand.

The only possible way these numbers are accurate is if you're listing running plays.

TomBarndtsTwin 11-29-2020 11:14 PM

Let’s spot them 17 to start the game.

You know, just to keep it interesting for a half . . . . .

Megatron96 11-29-2020 11:15 PM

At what point does Andy start benching the 1s in this game? Would before the half be in the realm of possibility? How many points before Reid calls off the dogs and puts them back in the kennel? 30-0? 40-0?

Christ on a crutch. Did you guys see the stat line for Hinton today?

1/9 13 yds 1.4 yd/att 0 TDs 2 INT 0.1QBR 0.0PRTG

That's horrible even for a WR.

I've never seen anything remotely like that before. Not even Tebow was that bad.

Looking past a division rival to that big matchup with the Dolphins?

Hammock Parties 11-29-2020 11:44 PM

The Dolphins game could actually be a trap game.

Their D is good enough that it could give us issues ala the Colts last year.

But Mahomes ankle, and our OL, are in far better shape.

Plus I see their run D is just absolute trash. That might be a big game for Clyde.

Agreed, the dolphins actually have legitimate talent on both sides of the ball.

Their match-up with us wouldn't be dissimilar to the effort the raiders gave us.

But anyone saying the donkeys have a chance should be SOS.

Wallcrawler 11-29-2020 11:55 PM

It'll be another 40+ drubbing of the donks, with Mahomes pulled out of the game by the time the fourth quarter rolls around.

Brandon Perna roasted the OC. That dude was a decent D-1 QB, and he had just hours to prepare to play. The dude was a practice squad receiver, and the OC called plays like he was a regular backup QB.

What's the deal with Lock? Or whoever they have as QB2/3? Any chance at all that one of them will play on Sunday? I can't imagine what the spread will be if Hinton has to get under center against us next week. It'll look like a Bama spread vs. KEN or something. -35.5 anyone?

Perna was upset the game wasn't moved to Tuesday. Their QBs could have been eligible on Tuesday if they kept testing negative.

So it's more than likely at least one of the Broncos usual QBs will be available for the Chiefs game. That's good in a way. Beating them with a WR under center doesn't seem sporting.

Honestly if the Saints are still starting Taysom Hill the Dolphins game might be as tough as any of them. Dolphins have weaknesses but they have some playmakers in the secondary, and when they beat Cincy next week they'll have won 8 of 10. They can play up/down to their opponent though. They whipped the Niners when they were healthy, blew out the Rams, but also lost to the Broncos.

pugsnotdrugs19 11-30-2020 08:03 AM

This is one where you just wanna get it over with and not have any significant injuries, everyone knows how it ends on the scoreboard..

This is the time of the year when the big boys come to play and that’s the Chiefs, not Denver..

Getting way ahead of ourselves, but the Dolphins game could be interesting. They've got at least one takeaway in something crazy like 15 straight games and obviously we don't give the ball away very often. With two great CBs, potentially they could give us some trouble. Fitzpatrick is definitely capable of carving us up, too.

pugsnotdrugs19 11-30-2020 08:08 AM

When you look at it on paper, we’ve got no games left that we should lose, but we have a few that could definitely slip away if they don’t show up to play.

But I believe in this team locking in here as games become more meaningful — barring some bad luck I think they go 15-1.

Hammock Parties 11-30-2020 08:27 AM

There is absolutely no way they're losing any game until the AFC Championship game.

The only team that can beat us is Pittsburgh, and then either Green Bay or Seattle.

O.city 11-30-2020 08:35 AM

The saints could be a close game. Other than that, chiefs should beat everyone by two scores

The chiefs are humming. Offensively, if things just really click and they stop shooting themselves in the foot woth dumb shit, they’ll start hanging some 40 burgers

OrtonsPiercedTaint 11-30-2020 08:39 AM

Hill may have to cut his after the catch in half. To lengthen the drive :)

SuperBowl4 11-30-2020 08:41 AM

The cHargers Ryan Leaf was actually the worst ever in a NFL game at the QB position. At ARROWHEAD STADIUM on September 20, 1998 Ryan Leaf went 1 for 15 for four yards, no TD's, two INT's and rushed for 1 yard! - http://youtu.be/UMe0Rz1frdE

Hammock Parties 11-30-2020 08:45 AM

Brees isn't going to play in that game. We will curbstomp them.

O.city 11-30-2020 08:57 AM

I expect them to start Winston in that game. There's no way that Hill can keep up with this offense. Winston can, if he can keep from throwing interceptions. Which, it looks like those interceptions had a lot to do with Arians offense. Even Brady is throwing career high interceptions this year. Every quarterback he's had has thrown career high interceptions in his offense

That may have gotten him the starting job, but confirmation bias will allow him to keep it. They are now 2-0 in blowout wins against garbage teams with Taysom starting. By the time the Saints play us they'll be riding a 4-game win streak with Taysom. There won't be any catalyst to make a switch.

Hammock Parties 11-30-2020 11:00 AM

The Saints game is going to be hilarious. We will blow the barn doors off their secondary and watch Taysom try to run around to keep up. He hasn't even thrown a TD this year.

I’m calling it now. Dolphins are frauds and far worse than their record. If they don’t get takeaways, then they cannot compete with the actual good teams.

They allow more yards per game than the Chiefs despite teams pulling out all the stops against KC. I doubt the Dolphins have seen many trick plays, fake punts, teams going for it on 4th, teams passing late to try and catch up, teams staying aggressive, etc.

Here is their total yardage against opponents this year:

Patriots - 269
Bills - 410
Jaguars - 294
Seahawks - 415
49ers - 436
Jets - 302
Rams - 145
Cardinals - 312
Chargers - 280
Broncos - 223
Jets - 345

That’s 3 good offensive performances on the season. The Bills and Seahawks are awful on defense (and they were even worse earlier in the season). I’m pretty sure the 49ers had several injuries too.

The Dolphins are 3rd worst in total offense and middle of the pack in total yards allowed.

The Dolphins NEED turnovers to compete. I’m not worried about them in the least. We would have to have an absolute collapse against them to lose that game.

I had been hoping we'd see a lot more passes to Clyde this season with Reid's offensive tendencies. Then it occurred to me that maybe the reason we're not is because Reid isn't stuck with a check-down game manager anymore.
