What a shit show lol. This is why I hope most teams are keeping 1 QB segregated

jallmon 11-28-2020 05:16 PM

They need to stop this shit. I'm starting to feel a vague sense of pity for horseface...wait, it went away.

Pfffff like this is some new development. The Broncos haven’t had a QB on their team since Manning retired.

That's bad team management. Elway has no idea how to run a team.

This could actually be entertaining. If it wasn't opposite the Chiefs game I'd consider watching it.

Frazod 11-28-2020 05:22 PM

Sounds like they just need some extra thin air and cooking spray. Should be good to go.

MGRS13 11-28-2020 05:28 PM

Yelled this ridiculous story to my wife who was in the kitchen. My son was walking through the dining room stopped poked his head in “considering the Broncos QBs this is probably a good thing for them”. Ha. Was absolutely perfect. What a joke of a franchise.

tk13 11-28-2020 05:31 PM

Well that'll be an upgrade for them.

Seriously though, I hope Reid is figuring out something to keep this from happening to us. Feel like it's only a matter of time until a Rodgers or Mahomes gets exposed. The big worry has to be what happens in the playoffs if this happens. Your whole season is just screwed.

Players would have to agree to that I assume, but I don't know why you wouldn't. You'd think the Chiefs would be down for it. We have a legit shot to repeat and the biggest thing that would mess it up is Mahomes/Hill/Kelce being deemed close contacts or getting this thing.

Hog's Gone Fishin 11-28-2020 05:33 PM

Well, I'm gonna have to watch this game. It should be interesting

You think it’s only the Broncos? These NFL players are not taking this seriously. Yeah, there is no real threat to their health, they are some of the top athletes in the country. But, they can get sidelined for a game or two. Putting aside that no one is bulletproof....

With the way this shitshow is spreading across the USA, NFL players should only go maskless while on the field during a game. These assholes are going to cost us the rest of the season if they don’t wise up. And we lose a Super Bowl title.

If Mahomes walks into the building wearing a mask, I believe that every member of the team would be wearing a mask too.

I think Mahomes wears his mask, because that's just the type of person he is.

Maybe other players on other teams are not taking it seriously, but I highly doubt that Mahomes is going to let a piece of cloth keep him out of the Super Bowl.

Benching Jeudy..picked Hinton off waivers and will start him at "wide receiver" tomorrow.

Expect a bunch of RPO action.

The issue (other than the obvious) is that he’ll be playing the worst possible team for this situation. The Saints practice against a non QB all week. You’re gonna maybe get 10 pass attempts from Hinton against an excellent defense. And he’s not gonna run like Taysom Hill either. You very well could be better off picking up an actual WR although the decision to bench Jeudy is a must.

RedinTexas 11-28-2020 06:39 PM

The Broncos should be fined for failing to put a QB on the roster all year.

They'll move the game. The NFL doesn't give a rat **** about consistency in the rules this year and have admitted as much to the teams per Pat McAfee.

Old Knowmo was probably stroking his lady ween, thinking the Bronco were going to call Chad Kelly up. Knowmo did say Kelly was just as good as Mahomes at one point, so this is the time for Kelly to shine

I’m sure they don’t love it, but the chances of either/both of A. The Saints losing the game even w Drew Lock playing and B. The Bucs winning the division are rather small.

Doom and gloom? Doom and gloom is saying the season is screwed like many people have. You could find some people who are way more doom and gloom than me. I think they can manage through this, but you've gotta be smart.

You have one NFL team with 18 players out, another that doesn't have a QB tomorrow, the most famous coach in college football is out with it and another top contender is in legitimate risk of having their shot at a Big Ten title stripped away. This hasn't exactly been a great week.

Either way, I've been 100% right in the COVID thread and I'm 100% right here. NFL needs to come up with a plan for the playoffs.

The difference is that the Broncos just had one player test positive, while the Ravens have a full blown outbreak.

That said, it is kind of shitty that teams who contain it get punished while those who have don't get their games postponed. Kind of is what it is, but wouldn't blame Broncos fans for being pissed.

Megatron96 11-28-2020 07:35 PM

How’s that not doom and gloom? And when you said Andy needs to prepare for this, they already have. I highly doubt all of our QB’s are breaking protocol like the Broncos QB’s did to lead to this.

JC. This is the first time I've seriously considered the idea that a game could be cancelled or that the NFL might not finish the season. How the heck are they going to play this game with a WR at QB?

Thank God the Chiefs franchise appears to be a lot smarter than the Broncos organization.

There's a difference between being realistic and being doom and gloom. Doom and gloom is "HOLY **** CANCEL THE SEASON EVERYTHING IS DOOMED." Being realistic is that one NFL team is gonna be down 20 players by tomorrow morning, another has no QB, another got kicked out of their stadium and case numbers are probably only going to go up from here. It's time to put the hammer down and come up with a real plan. There's no reason to panic, but the NFL feels like they're making up the rules as they go along. I don't think that's out of line. You're just being difficult.

It’s “realistic” to just assume that this will happen to Mahomes or Rodgers?

The plan is fine. In almost all of these instances protocol was broken moronically.

displacedinMN 11-28-2020 08:03 PM

Some Broncos fans are calling for the return of QB Tim Tebow after ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that all four Denver QBs are ineligible to play after being deemed high-risk for COVID-19

It’s just a matter of time till it hits Reid, Kelsey or Mahomes. The players in general are not obeying their own protocols they agreed to. They feel bulletproof. Not respecting the virus. Denver is paying for that. I’d rather not have the rest of the season canceled or postponed for crissakes. Just follow the damn rules.
