The Best Coffee

https://www.blackriflecoffee.com/

I had a tenant give me 2 bags of coffe beans a couple of months ago. This is the very best coffee I've ever tasted. They have many different flavors but the
"MO" murdered Out , was what i was given and been hooked ever since. I've reordered twice and get the whole beans and just grind them in my magic bullet. You can get it gound if you don't want to mess with it.

A portion of the profits goes to veterans and guns rights organizations. so I thougt today being memorial day it would be a good thread to post.

Ordered a couple bags for my wife Saturday. If she likes them I’ll keep ordering it. Bought her the silencer and thinblueline bags. A portion of the proceeds from the thinblueline bags go towards LEO.

Plus good ads. I drink Gunship “GS”. It’s personal but I’ve enjoyed most of their blends.

GloucesterChief 05-28-2018 08:04 AM

Looks like they just Colombian beans which I am not a huge fan of.

Bwana 05-28-2018 08:14 AM

That's the only brand I drink as well. I order the pre-ground, which they grind fresh after you order. It's amazing what the taste difference is between this and the average cup of coffee out there. I also generally buy the Murdered Out.

Cafe Verona from Starbucks.

Oceana coffee's Ethiopia Harav.

Tried the caramel frappe from McDonald’s today..me and my wife both liked it. I don’t do anything with a strong coffee taste

I just buy a can of That’s Smart from Hy-Vee. Just use and extra scoop and it tastes just like Folgers.

Nickhead 05-28-2018 10:22 PM

i have done a lot of things in life. the one thing i have never done: drink coffee of any kind. i've drank tea, love tea with a passion. but never coffee or anything you would find in starbucks. :D

lcarus 05-29-2018 11:30 AM

I usually drink Donut House regular K-cups but I consumed way too much coffee over the past couple years. Drinking it now almost makes me sick. Probably has more to do with the sugar and cream I put in it than the actual coffee. But I prefer a couple creams and sugars with my coffee much more than black.

Roasterie here in KC is good stuff. I'm just a regular quick cup of joe kinda guy, so I usually buy Folgers Columbian, 8 O'clock or Chock Full O Nuts if I can find it. I used to grind my own beans, and still do if I buy coffee in a bag. I'm OK with Folgers. It's what I grew up on, kinda how I still like Busch Beer.

JohnnyHammersticks 08-08-2018 02:49 PM

As far as Peet's goes, Major Dickason's is good. It's the first Peet's I ever had. I like Big Bang from Peet's a little better. But in terms of the best coffee I've ever tasted, it's definitely Pablo's Black Label. Pablo's is a coffee shop in central Denver and the founder is really into sourcing the best beans in the world. I order it 10 bags at a time and drink 6+ cups every weekday. Give it a shot, if you're into coffee, you'll love it. Trust me.

Whenever I'm in Denver downtown I go by this tiny shop Little Owl on Blake that always has great stuff and hits all of the amusing stereotypes.

They have 2 or 3 locations. I used to live right by the 6th & Washington one, but I think the Colfax one is the main location. Since I've moved to the burbs, I just have 10-bag boxes shipped.

I have several local roasters within a mile. My favorites are either African beans or Central American beans - they have several variations of each.

I run the beans through a burr grinder just before pour-over brewing.

I enjoy the hell out of my coffee, and can't imagine a day without it.

Still rocking Pablos in Denver. The guys who own it travel worldwide and source the best beans in my opinion. This is what I have on hand now, but their lineup varies all the time. I moved, but they only charge $5 for shipping so you can just get it shipped. Arrives just a couple days after you order.

What coffee is going to give you the most bang per cup? I can't drink it straight, so I have my favorite flavored creamer. Hubby read where lighter roasts are higher in caffeine, so we started buying Folgers Blonde Silk.

That is correct. Lighter roasts have more caffeine, darker roasts have less.

I got away from bottom end coffee and dumped the creamers. Initially I switched to half and half and sugar. But it is way healthier to just drink coffee.

Coffeemate and the like tastes like chemicals to me.

We do a Trade Coffee subscription since January . They mail you different stuff from around the states on your schedule. You rate everything they send and they choose stuff like the coffee you love. Not cheap and most mailings are 10-12 ounces not full pounds but it is high quality stuff. Basically I reroute my booze money into coffee as old age / medicals have reduced booze use

My brother is a huge coffee addict. I swear he has OCD for coffee.

He has this roaster that he uses to roast his own coffee every Sunday morning. Takes about 10 minutes per batch which lasts me a week:

Fresh Roast SR800 https://a.co/d/afQOm94

Lot of websites for green coffee beans but he goes here:

https://www.coffeebeancorral.com/

You can get one lb of beans for around $7-8 from different parts of the world. Absolute steal.

The coffee is so fresh from roasting that I don’t need to have hardly any sugar or milk in it.

I’m glad my brother is an OCD coffee addict

Of course! Excellent decision. Of the global ones they have in stock now, I really like the Flores one below. The first couple rows on their website are coffees they have in stock all the time, like the Danger Monkey, Two Stroke Smoke, etc. Those are great, but I like to scroll down to the ones on the bottom couple rows. Those are the ones they source from the best coffee-producing regions all over the world.

FLORES BAJAWA NGURA
Organically grown, Wet Hulled

Tastes Like: Rounded Kiwi Acidity, Maple Sweetness, Earthy Molasses Finish

This coffee is sourced from family owned farms located on the slopes of the Inerie volcano in the Ngada regency of Flores. Over the last decade, a growing number of farmer groups have pooled resources to improve upon processing coffee using wet-hulling techniques (called "Ngura" in the Bajawan Language) similar to those found in Sumatra. Attention to detail is exquisite, reflected in the ripe cherry selection, raised bed drying, and hand sorting done 3 times before export.

Size
2lb
Grind
Whole Bean
Regular price
$38.00

https://www.pabloscoffee.com/products/flores

If you like what you try, check their website from time-to-time, they update it with new batches all the time. Keep your eyes open for the one below. I just finished a 5lb bag of the whole bean and it was outstanding. The best coffee I've ever had in my life I got from Pablo's. It was from the Dimtu Tero region of Ethiopia and it had this spectacular blueberry taste. Unfortunately they haven't had that one in stock for over a year.

The best cup of coffee I ever had was from an old coworker of mine who was the same way about his coffee - had his own beans, a grinder, and a french press. I don't know what beans he used, but he didn't put anything in it afterwards and it was amazing. I think he said the beans were very lightly roasted to keep a lot of the oil intact or something. So good.

Bang Energy Drink is the best coffee.

It will change your life.

scho63 11-05-2022 11:34 AM

I'm an old school coffee drinker; Dunkin Donuts decaf, QT fresh ground decaf, 7-11 decaf when fresh.

I only use half and half. Once in a blue moon one of those caramel creamers.

I hate Peets and Starbucks.

I also don't do crazy shit flavored ones and won't spend > $2 for a large coffee.

I'll also drink green or Chai tea from time to time, nothing added.
