Junior Galette wants to come to KC?

http://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2018/...-chiefs-a-lot/

"Galette is set to hit free agency in three weeks. The expectation is that Galette will indeed test free agency and not return to Washington.

The Chiefs could certainly use an extra edge rusher in 2018 so they may be interested in Galette. Based on Galette’s tweet above about Chiefs general manager Brett Veach, that interest could be mutual.

It also doesn’t hurt that Galette has been retweeting Chiefs fans non-stop.

Galette could just be hinting that he’s interested. I’m sure he’d be interested in any team willing to pay him. But he seems to have a special fascination with Kansas City over the past couple of days."

...What sayeth CP? Yay or Nay?

Coochie liquor 02-21-2018 05:57 PM

Seems like someone we could def use. Not sure if it’s plausable though.

Since this is for a Chiefs website, what do you think of Justin Houston?

“The first time I saw him play was when the Chiefs came to New Orleans in 2012. He dominated and had a three-sack game. I remember because I think we went to OT and he won the game with another sack. I finished with two sacks but knew in the back of my head that there was a player on the Chiefs I had to learn about. Long story short, we use the same pass rush coach now.”

I had a chance to chat with a Chiefs player about what he’d think of the Chiefs going after Galette. His response?

“Sure, he’s a dominant force, very disruptive and would love to add him to this championship defense.”

We have a player on D that considers themselves a championship defense?

ROFL

Couch-Potato 02-21-2018 06:18 PM

Those are some seriously unique moves! In the tape provided in the above link he appears to have quick and nimble feet, fantastic instincts, and an extensive repertoire of pass rushing moves.

Kiimo 02-21-2018 06:25 PM

Why have I heard this guy's name so much? He appears to be just okay.

I think it's because he would come relatively cheap.

Dude's Achilles are made of paper. No thanks.

Hog's Gone Fishin 02-21-2018 06:36 PM

I have an idea, If he's really good we sign him. If he's garbage we let Denver sign him.

I think that should be a general rule of thumb for all FA signings.

Cheers!

frozenchief 02-21-2018 06:49 PM

Wasn't he always injured and never did anything? Wait, I'm confusing him with Junior Siavii. Never mind.

Mother****erJones 02-21-2018 06:54 PM

James Winchester tweeted to Aaron Colvin about coming to KC. He gona be a Chief too? LOL

Couch-Potato 02-21-2018 06:54 PM

In addition to this ACL injuries, apparently he was a total ass in the NO clubhouse. His tweets after being let go weren't a good look either.

Questionable character.

Rain Man 02-21-2018 07:22 PM

I feel like we need every pass rusher we can get. Bring them all in, every single one of them.

Red Dawg 02-21-2018 07:31 PM

Why not. Make it a good deal for us.

patteeu 02-21-2018 07:56 PM

Signing Galette would make it so the Chiefs could trade Justin Houston. :p

Simply Red 02-21-2018 08:06 PM

I literally have no idea just who this is - though I've heard the name - Hall of Famer?

KChiefs1 02-21-2018 08:09 PM

He’d have to change his number.

ping2000 02-21-2018 08:17 PM

Unless senile Bob hangs em up it doesn't matter who we bring in.

Maybe we could sign Jimmy Graham and get rid of that Goddamn headcase Kelce. Too many penalties that one time.

afc championship baby

what would be better, 14 straight conference titles or a super bowl?

Chargem 02-22-2018 01:47 AM

Just watched a 4 minute highlight video of him, on a couple his initial move is so good that he looks like he comes through unblocked. Good variety of moves too. Wouldn't mind a low risk contract on him I guess.

He looks big in the clips though, more like a lineman. Don't the Saints play a 4-3?

Not when he was there.

mcaj22 02-22-2018 06:27 AM

I think I would rather Pernell McPhee over Galette if you're forcing me to pick the Chiefs signing 1 veteran turd injury prone LBer to platoon with Dee Ford to try and make 1 complete OLBers production at the position.

tyreekthefreak 02-22-2018 06:38 AM

You Tube has a video of Junior hitting a women with a belt on the beach............he's trouble.........and not good enough to waste any money on.........PERIOD!

More specifically, he said Sean Payton was a pill head (exhibit A: pics of Payton) and moved TC to be closer to his gf.

So incendiary but not exactly refuted.

I think its more a case where he knows there is a need in KC so he is linking himself to that need. He'll go wherever he gets paid.

I wonder if Reid's known willingness to take on sketchy character guys is also coming into play? The Chiefs have taken some gambles on guys with injury issues recently as well.

Just curious who have the Chiefs signed as a FA with injury history?

Not counting anyone drafted or traded for. I just can't think of a veteran brokedick they have taken a chance on off the top of my head straight off the market.

I don't know. I wasn't limiting the thought to free agents only. I don't know if he fits the youth movement that Veach is going for either.

Tyvon Branch
Donnie Avery
Anthony Fasano
Ben Grubbs

I don't mind low risk high reward signings. If a guy isn't expensive, take a chance and see what they've got left in the tank.

I had forgotten about Grubbs.

Man, that did not work out AT ALL.

Also, Grubbs only missed 4 career games prior to his Chiefs tenure.

He played well for the Saints one season and got a big contract. Then he played like garbage and had off the field troubles (Cops). He was cut and the Saints had his dead money for a couple maybe three years. The guy is a cancer/pos and not worth the drama.
