Top 100 from Pricksco.
2. Chris Jones: He is a game-wrecker for any defense and the Chiefs would be wise to keep him. Jones said he wants to come back, but if he hits the market he will be a top target for a lot of teams. 6. L'Jarius Sneed: He is a shutdown corner who can lock up the other team's best receiver. The market for that talent will be high if the Chiefs don't keep him around. Watch the Super Bowl to see his value. 43. Willie Gay Jr.: He's been a good starter on their defense the past four seasons, but he is not expected back. He said he doesn't expect to be back. He has 47 starts in his career and he just turned 26 in February. 84. Drue Tranquill: He signed a one-year deal with the Chiefs and was expected to be mostly a backup. But injuries forced him to get more time and he played well. He has good coverage ability for a linebacker, which is a must these days. 89. Michael Danna: He can play outside and can rush from the interior, which is the versatility teams love. He isn't a great edge player, but he's a nice rotational player who has been a starter. The rest.... |
Thank you, good sir.

Jonnu Smith is being released.

It is a shame that this was not my 10k post. |
And thus starts the "sign everyone" season!
Think before you speak everyone! |
Sucks that Tranquill was forced into so much playing time. If we wouldn't have had so many injuries at LB, then we probably bring him back on another decent deal.
|
I still think we bring Tranquil back on a decent deal

Tranquill for 2-years $10m feels like a lock.
|
Just like they aren't losing Jones AND Sneed, they aren't losing Gay AND Tranquill.

Going to be a pretty nice influx of RB talent on the market. Henry, Ekeler, Jacobs, and Barkley all on the market potentially. Wonder if the Chiefs look into any of them.

Wouldn't hurt my feelings if Tranquilly called up his old buddy Ekeler and convinced him to come here on a short deal.

But we will see. It'd be great to have him here though! |
Quote:
Like I don't even know if I'd want him bad. |
Quote:

Ekeler? Nah. He's cooked.
If you want a FA RB, Swift or Moss or JK Dobbins. |
Quote:
It wouldn't surprise me if we got a solid vet as our RB2. |

Dobbins = No. Guy makes Eric Berry look like he's the epitome of availability. |

He may get hurt, but if he doesn't... |

I want to sign one very good FA WR and a few value picks.
Guys like Noah Brown, Darius Slayton, and Duvernay could possibly go dirt cheap under 5. Just the first 2 guys could have been our #1 #2 and #3 at points last year. |
Quote:
This offense leaned on Kelce and Pacheco and if either break, we break. We need insurance against either. |

For DT I want Maurice Hurst on a cheap prove it deal. Been plugging this in the draft forum and i won't stop.

Look this probably bullshit, but I saw a report that there might be a block buster deal involving multiple of our picks.
Like two 1sts etc plus other 2nds Again probably bullshit, but it’s swirling rumor mill for Justin Jefferson |

Yeah we're not selling this farm for JJ

It is true…. Over the cap has our cap space now at 16.9mil. Add 7 mil for rookies and we have about 10 mil to play with and jones wants 30 mil lol

Not all that surprised

Duvernay would be good at the right price. Toub would be banging the drum to get on him on special teams as a returner.

Before Dobbins signs anywhere he'd have to go through medicals so I doubt he'd get through that if he was washed up. I'd personally like to see Veach give him a look. Gibson and Moss are also other guys to consider. There are loads of vet RB's out there and not all of them can get big deals so we should expect to see one come in judging by Veach's track record.
Williams Bell Jones Mckinnon Ingram Have all been brought in over the last five years. So it's just a matter of which one will it be? |
Quote:
I loved Dobbins in the draft. Too many injuries and I don't think he will ever regain form. Give me Pollard. We need better Pacheco insurance at RB, not some other team's discards who we can get anyway for free. |

Any chance we get Donovan Smith back on a similar deal to last year? I had in my head that he was ancient but I've just seen he's only 30. He's not exactly elite but he's very good value for money at $3m.
|
Quote:
If he’s still available after the draft, I’m positive they will have another deal in place for him to be part of the 3 peat. I’m sure someone will want him at more than we can pay, though. |
I want Antonio Gibson!
|
I’m kinda amazed to see how many Chiefs people are excited about the possibility of Mike Evans.
When I’m over here thinking… nah. Hell no. If you’re gonna spend that kind of money, keep Sneed + Chris. But a 30 y/o WR who could and likely will lose a step? Makes no sense. |
Quote:
He already has a ring, but no way he’s gonna take the minimal deal we would insult him with. |

He looked great in 2023. I'm not a big fan of Evans, but the tape didn't lie. Outside of his drop rate, he played extremely well and fast all season and in the playoffs. Sidenote: JR80 had 8 or 9 1,000 yard seasons after 30. TO had 6. So this "he's turning 30," thing isn't that big a deal. Not that it matters; we aren't going to be able to come up with the $$$ anyway. hearing he wants close to $30 million/yr. |
