Please tell me about Byron Pringle
Homer takes, non-homer takes, hater takes. I'll take any takes please.
Are we talking a guy when talking about potential to go from UDFA to bona fide NFL starter like Rod Smith if you squint long and hard enough? Maybe a Boerigter/Chris Horn type? Preseason flash-in-the-pan guy who's all burst and no staying power? Whatcha got? |
Was just thinking about him last night. Explosive hidden gem.
|
Hard to say at this point from information available, but I'd say he's the odds on favorite to replace Conley right now. I know our resident K-State fans gush over him.
|
Well first off...his name is Byron.
|
Uh well he's probably taking Chris Conleys job.

Sammy seems like a half a season type of guy... Need to keep feeding Mahomes, whether Pringle or a draft pick. Not sold on Robinson being consistent. |
Big play WR, will be a great mid-deep threat for Mahomes.
|
Conley needs to go. Pringle would be a great option. Hope the Chiefs draft or sign another to push Robinson and Pringle.
|
Few things,
He's kind of old. He's a 25 YO rookie. He had some nice games at KSU with some REALLY garbage QBs. He's got nice speed - even though it's hard to see in a Bill Snyder offense, I wasn't aware so much of his agility, but it looked good on the routes in preseason. I liked the way he looked in preseason, but in reality, that's all we've got and it's a criminally small sample size. |
He can run and make those cuts you expect a wr to do.
|
I’ve nothing against the kid and hope he and think he will get a shot to prove himself. But, until then, JAG until proven otherwise.
|
Hear he's got a good looking hernia.

Mahomes in shotgun, Williams on his right Tyreek, Watkins and Kelce in a stacked bunch on the left, Pringle out wide to the right. In that look, Pringle should see nothing but single coverage (possibly from a third safety) and be wide the hell open on deep in cuts or hooks. I'm excited to see it. |

Flip Pringle and Watkins in that scenario. Put Pringle in the bunch and have him run the middle deep route with Hill taking the top off and Kelce getting bracketed in that 8-12 yard range. Hill will demand a double team as will Kelce, and Watkins will likely draw the #1 corner, leaving Pringle and his speed/athleticism one on one with a dime DB. |
He looks super fast to me.
|
ST player.
|
He couldn't beat out that white guy who is friends with Mahomes for a roster spot.

Can't beat out a guy from IR now can ya?? |
Isn’t he like 37 years old?

To be quite honest, I could see us using DAT a lot more next year. I think that's what's going to end up replacing Conley even though they're completely different players.
DAT is no Hill, but he can be used to do some of the same things. We lost a little bit of that "unguardable" dimension when DAT got hurt. Pringle may come in at the end to pick up the scraps with a little bit more size. |

What do we do when DAT inevitably is injured by week 5? |
Quote:
DAT apparently wants to stay on this team and play for peanuts. That's what he did this year. He'll probably do it again. And if I'm Veach, I give him another deal just like that. |
I tried the new wavy Pringles. There’s an applewood smoked cheddar one that is complete ass.

Good speed, was always open, and racked up quite a few big plays at K-State despite a very unfriendly passing game. Only negative is that he did have some issues with drops.

I think the Chiefs need to target a possession WR to help them move the chains/extend drives.
I know that sounds crazy when you have Hill, Watkins, and Kelce, but the GSoT Rams had Ricky Proehl to fill that gap and they don't beat Tampa without him. They probably wouldn't catch more than 30-40 balls a year, but those kinds of guys are invaluable, especially in the playoffs |

Hopefully Pringle will kicked someone off the roster. I'm tired of waiting on Conley and Robinson. They should be making impact by now if they are ever going to.

What about Cole Beasley? I think he's burned some bridges in Dallas.

It's funny because it's true. Mahomes practically implanted a football in his chest between the 8 and 1 in the end zone, yet he still dropped it. Shit, give me Kemp all week long over Kentucky Fried Benjamin. |

Honestly, I think WR should be way down the list of shit we need to go shop for this offseason. Pringle, Robinson, Kemp, Deiter…...let one of those guys step up and take on the Proehl role Hamas is talking about. |

I have no doubt that if Dieter was a Patriot he'd somehow be catching 60 balls for 800 yards and 8 TDs a year.

Andy Reid is supposed to have the best offensive mind in history. Patrick Mahomes has all the makings of an elite QB. We have several other options to open things up. Our offensive line is decent when healthy. Running game is decent. |

Well done sir. |

Anything over Conley will be an upgrade.
