Let’s talk WR’s
Looks like we’ll probably be taking one sometime in the first 2 days.
Guys I like: A.J. Brown Deebo Samuel Andy Isabella Parris Campbell Mecole Hardman J.J. Arcega-Whiteside |
If you are indeed alluding to Mr. Hill’s troubles and a potential replacement, I think the guy you target for a similar skill set is Parris Campbell. He might require a late-first, early 2nd round investment.
|
May not be popular, but I would be looking for a WR and TE with one of those 2nd’s and our 3rd.

CB, DE, WR, and TE. If not, and Ragland will be penciled in as the starting MLB going into the draft, I’m likely waiting till day 3 to take a TE. |
Boykin out of ND.

If we lose Hill, and Hollywood Brown falls to 29, you take him IMO

Either Campbell in the first or deebs in the 2nd |

100 percent this. |
Gary Jennings is really underrated IMO. Would like him round 3 if that pick isn't used in a move up.
|
Isabella would go apeshit in the slot, in this offense.
|
Round 2 is my sweet spot for one. I’d love Andy Isabella from UMass

We have been linked to Mecole Hardman. I really like him.
He’s got 4.33 speed and is pretty decent size. He’d be great Tyreek insurance. |

Hakeem Butler. Give Mahomes a star for the rest of his career.
|
Jesus, that mecole guy would be insane in this offense
|
I like Hardman.
I'd also see if the Bengals would take a 5th for Ross. |

Just looked up Terry McLaurin, I could see him performing well in this offense.
|
I finally got some time to sink my teeth into the WR class and I'm hyped. Lots of late round talent - speaking of which this is such a shit year to not have a 4th round pick man.
|
Hardman, Hurd or Boykin.
|
Now that I've drafted him for Cincinnati in the mock draft, I can bring up the name of Antoine Wesley. What do you guys think about him as a late-round speculative guy? Andy seems to like really tall guys with good hands, even if there are some weaknesses in other parts of his game.
Here's what the NFL says about him: https://www.nfl.com/prospects/antoin...e-5800e41887f1 |
Stumbled across Keelan Doss
Interesting guy |
I like Terry McLaurin a lot. He’s like a faster, bigger version of Albert Wilson.
He’d Be a great 3rd rd pick |
Is it just me or does Boykin look awfully slow running with the ball? The highlights I was watching he got caught numerous times and just looked like he was running in sand. I think I’ll pass on that.
|
Plenty of good options for what the Chiefs need (presuming Hill is available).
My favourites by average round projection: * Not a fan of the projected 1st rounders 2) Harry, Samuel, Campbell, Isabella 3) McLaurin, Hardman 4) Sills, Jennings Jr., Boykin, Meyers 5+) Brady, Fulgham, Williams |

What about Stanley Morgan Jr from Nebraska?
|
They're gonna have to take a WR somewhere. Look at the roster and what could be coming up in the next year or so. Watkins and Hill could be gone, Robinson etc.

No way. It’s one or the other. But yea, we need to take a WR. |

I never thought I would be ok with drafting offense in the 1st round, but I've changed my mind. I would actually like to see us trade up to get in position to grab Hockenson.
-He's virtually guaranteed to be a high level (pro-bowl caliber) player by year 2-3. -He's physically and mentally ready to play a fair amount year 1 (not always the case with some rookies). -Hockenson is better in both the run game AND as a pass catching option than WR3 is most likely. -You're going to have to get Kelce's replacement eventually (next 1-2 years). -It would allow us to play a lot of 2 TE sets, but not give up explosive plays in the passing game. -Defenses would still have to stay in Nickel/Dime to handle us even with 2 TE's, which would allow us to work some more run plays against smaller D sets (mismatch advantage: KC). -Would be insurance for the Hill situation |

At the very least, even if Hill gets no charges pressed, there is real doubt now that he's a ticking time-bomb. You need to have a plan 'b'. Just in case. Watkins is great, but becomes super expensive and is hurt a lot. D-Rob is probably a #3. Solid, nice player, but not enough. We need a replacement for either Hill/Watkins; and it's possible that we go stretches without either. you could make an argument that the 'floor' at the WR position is lower than any other position group on the team at the moment. Ceiling is second only to QB, but man; if Hill's in jail or suspended we're a Watkins injury away from D-Rob, Pringle, and Dieter. |

Man Miles Boykin seems so appealing. He would ball out in this offense
|
If you have the change to get Butler, you get Butler.

I don't know if I want to bet the season on it. D-Rob/Dieter/Pringle. |

Matter of fact, I’d probably take one almost every year with a QB like Pat. |
I just don't know that Hill is here next year even if he's cleared. I hope he is but who the hell knows.
|
He will get an extension months after a clearing announcement happens, if it does.
