Only NFL team to overcome three 10+ point deficits in the playoffs

Kellerfox 02-27-2020 09:44 AM

Last one is not correct, multiple players have broken the madden curse. In fact, one could argue that Gronk is the only one who has been affected in the last 6-7 years. Brady won the MVP the year he was on the cover and played in the Super Bowl, Sherman made the Super Bowl, and OBJ Brown both led the league in receiving yards the years they were featured. I’ll support a reword though that says “Mahomes shattered the curse unlike anyone else by winning the Super Bowl.” Mahomes > rest.

Now the CHIEFS ONLY need to shutout their opponents in the postseason next season. Triple ZEROS! The Bears came close in 1985 allowing just 10 points in three postseason games. DEFENSE!!:thumb:

Mahomes has many records already.

Next year he should get these:

Fastest QB to 100 Passing TD's.

Fastest and youngest QB to 10,000 passing yards.

The youngest player with multiple Regular Season MVPs and Superbowl MVP's. 4 Total.

He already is the fastest player to 9000 yards and 75 TD's as well as the youngest to win a league MVP and Superbowl MVP.

"Chiefs had the 2nd best winning percentage in the NFL during the decade of the 1990s at 102-56-0 (.646)"

How is second best a record?
just curious

jjchieffan 02-27-2020 01:45 PM

Don't forget 27-3 in the division the last 5 years. Best in the NFL since the merger.

big nasty kcnut 02-27-2020 01:52 PM

Only the 2nd team to win multiple championship in different leagues 3 in the AFL and 2 in the nfl.

suzzer99 02-27-2020 02:24 PM

DT had 7.5 sacks in that game.

smithandrew051 02-27-2020 03:07 PM

Most boners by one fan base when Mahomes threw that TD to the Sausage against the Chargers in his first start of his MVP season

Chieftain 02-27-2020 03:51 PM

Chiefs all time winning % in the division is at 55.39% (226-182-3) which has to be Top 3 in the NFL.

Chieftain 02-27-2020 03:53 PM

We need to improve our playoff record though. Faiders are currently way ahead of us.

False. DT had 7 Sacks and Narrowly missed getting an 8th sack. I was at that game. Krieg got loose and threw a winning TD.

Today in History: Derrick Thomas Sets Sack Record. This day in NFL history on November 11, 1990, Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Derrick Thomas sets NFL record with 7 sacks on Seattle Seahawks quarterback Dave Kreig.

4 touchdown passes in the second quarter. I'm pretty sure that's an NFL postseason record. I think that it's tied for the NFL regular season record too. And scoring a TD on 7 straight possessions against Houston i believe was a record as well.

jjchieffan 02-27-2020 05:33 PM

Mahomes is the first player in NFL history with at least 300 pass yards, at least five pass TDs and at least 50 rush yards in a playoff game. » Mahomes is the first player in NFL history to throw five pass TDs in a playoff game before his 25th birthday.Jan 12

You're a real winner guy....

Vintage Porn
This is long overdue for all the old horndogs on this site and there are plenty! (Myself included)

You youngsters will probably laugh and be grossed out by the pubic hair but many of these babes were smoking hot, all natural (not counting dying their hair or pubic hair like Seka did) and were incredibly sexy.

My first and always #1 favorite porn star SEKA was a legend.

My parents allowed me to have a poster of her in my bedroom in my teens! She was in neglige.

Dude, shut up!!!!!!!!!!

If they go to 17 game seasons, Mahomes will rewrite the record books....more than he already is.

if they go to 17 games, the coaches will 'rest' a group of players accordingly, every week. i mean shady got days off he didn't ask for :D :thumb:

I still am baffled about that Texans game how they were able to score a TD on 7 straight posessions. I don't know if we will ever see anything like that again. Probably not during a playoff game.

After doing some research, I didn't realize Jamaal Charles is the all time leader in NFL history in yards per carry at 5.45, with Jim Brown being second at 5.22:spock:
That is astonishing. He should be in the Hall of Fame.

Chieftain 05-31-2020 09:17 PM

Chiefs have currently 7 consecutive winning seasons, dating back to 2013. The Patriots' current winning seasons streak is at 19 but I think that comes to an end this upcoming season as I predict they finish 8-8 or worse. The record for most consecutive winning seasons is 20, held by the Cowboys (1966-1985).

I think we can tie and break the record if Mahomes stays healthy and Veach continues to draft well. Mahomes is 24 so if say he plays until he's 40, that means an additional 16 seasons. That would put the streak to 23, stretching 3 decades.

Chieftain 05-31-2020 09:37 PM

Another record which is possible within reach relates to our current win streak against the Broncos. The record for most consecutive wins against an opponent is 20, achieved by the 1970s Dolphins against the Buffalo Bills. We have beaten the donks 9 straight. If Mahomes continues to dominate them in the next 6 seasons, that would bring our win streak to 21.

That will be glorious!

Brody Wa 06-01-2020 04:09 AM

So all we need to do now is to win 19 games in a season?

How did you leave off tying longest play from scrimmage Green to Boerigter?!

Chieftain 06-01-2020 08:52 PM

Thanks for the tip. Looks like that has happened a total of 9 times https://www.pro-football-reference.c...ingle_game.htm

Chieftain 09-21-2020 10:27 PM

With this weekend's results, the Chiefs and Broncos are tied all time for wins at 483. We actually have the edge on them with 2 less losses and 2 more ties.
Broncos still lead in the playoff category with a record of 23-19. Chiefs stand at 13-19 which by the end of this season should be 16-19.
