What’s the strategy for tomorrow?
We only have one pick at 64 but 4 picks to start off day 3 with 2 in rd 4 and 2 in rd 5. They also have the extra Titans 3rd.
Sure feels like they have ammo to trade up a good deal if they really want to. Feels like they will only have one pick tomorrow unless something major happens. If so what position would you take? Trade up for a Tackle? DT seems like a very underrated pick to me. What do you guys think? |
Try and trade up in the 2nd for an OT.
|
I’d think we’d look OT in round 2, but there are some really good defensive players available too.
Maybe we can trade up and have 2 picks in the second somehow. If we can grab a DT and OT, the rest of the draft is BPA. |
Quote:
Yeah, I think they go get a tackle they like. |
Grab a badass to line up next to Chris Jones.
|
Pick whoever MahomesMagic hates and profit

OT or just roll BPA and if a guy you have graded highly drops, jump to get him.
Needs: LT CB DT OG WR RB |
If we get a second round OT, I wouldn’t mind taking a RB pretty soon after that.
I’d love to have another dangerous back in this offense. |
Draft the next Travis Kelce and a good fat guy.
|
Go get Paul, Suamataia, or Amegadjie and call it a day.

Hard to think those 8 teams will draft OL again in rd 2. Patriots and Commanders will probably for sure but after that it gets bit dicey. Idk. I think they are forced to pass and we get a DT. The value is gonna be really good for one of them IMO |

No idea. Wish we had a few more picks, TBH.
|
I can't believe Johnny Newton is still on the board. Wonder what's up with that?
|
If I were Brad Veatch my strategy would be to draft players who are really good to play for the KC Chiefs
|
Yeah I think Kingsley and Paul come off the board quickly to NE and WAS and they pivot to another position. The other LT’s are developmental and we have that already in Wanya Morris

Feeling like corner in the second and vanity projects the rest of the way. Maybe the other McCaffrey to make SF/**** Denver fans go all wrists. Whatevs.
|
I'd be extremely happy if we were able to get BYU's Kingsley Suamataia.
Might require a trade up but whatever. We need quality not quantity at this point. |
We do need an LT.
Other than that I'll hold the firearms until it's shootin' time. |

We will draft a OT posdibke guard as well
I wouldn’t be surprised if we get another WR. Considering how many are gone next year Possibly a RB. DT Possibly another TE since Bell is gone and Kelce getting older This is over the next 2 days |

If you give me McCaffery or rice I would be happy. Offensive fatty too would be good.
|
the plan is we draft some bad mother****ers that Andy and Burt Veach like and they play for my favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

See if KCC can continue to act like act like a twat in tomorrow’s Royals GDT? No?
Well **** it then…. Find out where they’re registered, maybe get a good place setting or candlesticks, rub some dirt on it and let’s turn two… I have little doubt we’ll grab another player who will play a valuable role tomorrow. And I think we have to be shortsighted, and go for a player who could potentially be a player that can honestly contribute to a Pat Trick. |

I have no interest at all in a Royals/Tigers game thread (or anything Royals-related at all when they're not facing the Jays), FYI. You can rest easy. |

I feel like, with Mahomes, Rice could be a Pro Bowl level player. If he goes to a different QB and HC combo, who knows. I also feel like, especially lately, players with successful family members in the NFL have also been successful. I wanted McCaffrey until we signed LRZ. Not that LRZ would make the team and play over McCaffrey, but they seem redundant. They probably aren't, but the role I wanted McCaffrey for is basically going to LRZ I think. |

I like Bub Means from Pitt and Cornelius Johnson from Michigan. |

Trade up for the BYU tackle then win more Super Bowls.
|
I would've said this before yesterday, but I'm fully on board with quality over quantity at this specific juncture, going for that 3peat and really maximizing Kelce's last couple years, Jones before any potential decline, and Hollywood on that 1-year deal. If they see a tackle there in the 40s who can start this year, whether it's LT or RT and Taylor moves over, I'm 10000% on board with that.

just keep stacking good football players.
|
My goodness, I was lectured at by someone on this forum a while back about how the Chiefs would NEVER go into the draft with a gaping hole at any position...lo and behold, we have two gaping holes at LT and CB. Either the plan is to bring Donovan Smith back or draft his replacement today. We can't go into the season with Wanya Morris protecting Mahomes' blindside.

Bpa. Though I'd rather stack the deck with offense so that next year we can focus on defense again. Would like to start thinking about a TE and we can get value at RB. Still would help to have an extra wr body but hoping we consider a reliable vet since we need to fill the bottom instead of the top
Obviously need an OT An underrated need is interior OL. Depth is always helpful. But I really don't want to pump so much money into a position you should be able to draft. We save tons of money moving away from trey and in the near future we want to move away from Thuney |

The secondary as a whole will still be pretty good, even without Sneed. |

We need another pass rusher way more than we need anything in the secondary... |
What about the TE from TX?

TE, OT, WR, CB, RB, Edge rusher
Not in order |

We are now in a great position to dominate offensively again with any reasonable LT play. This team is going to be quite a bit better than last year. |
Barring a move, all we have is 64 tonight, right?

I'd put money on it... |

Who are the fat guys we could be targeting tonight?

@dj'sleftnut @staylor @chrismeck
Does Braden Fiske from FSU fit what we do? I feel like his motor next to CJ would be sick. |

Then again, who knows. There were some galactically stupid picks last night, hopefully that continues and we don't have to move. |

Lot of great talent for us to get. I just want someone to make an impact early and often. |
Gut tells me we come out of the 2nd with a CB.

I doubt it's CB, 4th round seems to be the CB sweet spot for this team.

I’d like OT Kingsley Suamataia to start with. Then either a solid DT as I’m pretty sure we’re thin there. Or grab Brenden Rice or a WR in that mold.
|
Why are some here wanting a TE in the 2nd round? Am I missing something about Kelce retiring?!if not taking a backup TE in the 2nd round sounds like a bad idea. As bad as some that want to take a RB.

We may need to rebuild the inner OL next year. Anyone in the draft we can get late that’ll be ready next year?
|
Give me one of the following today:
Kool-aid Rakestraw Sanders Paul Melton Fisher |
I think that's where Irv Smith Jr. comes into focus this season.
I won't be shocked by any direction they choose to go, but a tight end this year would be a bit surprising. |
