Let's talk about the 49ers (Super Bowl Edition)

Well Chiefs vs Packers is what I had hoped for, but that's not happening.

Let's talk about Chiefs vs 49ers here.

Deberg_1990 01-19-2020 07:05 PM

Hell yes.

Would love to stick it to the Shanahans!

Molitoth 01-19-2020 07:06 PM

Aaron Rodgers and Mahomes can beat any defense.

I don't believe Jimmy G can.

I'll take the 49ers.

Chiefs4TheWin 01-19-2020 07:07 PM

We will score more in the first half than the packers did.

Molitoth 01-19-2020 07:07 PM

Our offensive line is going to have their work cut out.

KC Hawks 01-19-2020 07:07 PM

Beat the team that sent us all their shitty backup QBs!

carcosa 01-19-2020 07:07 PM

Any post that isn't simply "we're gonna win" is TRASH!!!!!

smithandrew051 01-19-2020 07:07 PM

Andy Reid off a bye with a huge QB advantage. Gotta feel good about that.

Chiefs4TheWin 01-19-2020 07:08 PM

Also could dee ford go offsides on the game deciding INT? I'd appreciate it.

That's what people said last week. That doesn't make it less true, but I think this line can hold up.

Chiefs will win

49ers are a well rounded team....they're also a very good team. Chiefs come out slow again and they'll lose the game.

Halfcan 01-19-2020 07:11 PM

Chiefs need to protect Mahomes and stop the run. Win.

smithandrew051 01-19-2020 07:12 PM

What if we won the Super Bowl on Dee Ford lining up in the neutral zone?

493rd 01-19-2020 07:12 PM

Looks like they lost Tevin Coleman so we’ve gotta stop Raheem Mostert who’s been incredible. Garoppolo will toss us some.

TLO 01-19-2020 07:12 PM

Their defense is fast, and their pass rush is ridiculous. We might only win by 20.

Spoiler!

CaliforniaChief 01-19-2020 07:13 PM

Here I thought the Packers were the team to play to keep our revenge theme alive and then I thought about it...

A majority of our Super Bowl futility stems from our past refusal to draft a franchise QB, instead taking castoff QB's from the 49'ers.

This is personal.

This is for Gagliano, Montana, Bono, Grbac, DeBerg, and Alex Smith.

St. Patty's Fire 01-19-2020 07:13 PM

49ers line is scary but they can be burned in the pass game

Just need to keep Pat clean

We will win

ChiefsHawk 01-19-2020 07:14 PM

What happened to coleman, missed it...is it a major injury

carcosa 01-19-2020 07:14 PM

If I've learned anything from being a Chiefs fan, it's that the team with the top rushing unit, prolific tight end, elite pass rush, and mediocre quarterback wins EVERY time!!!!

KChiefs1 01-19-2020 07:15 PM

Terry Bradshaw just said that Andy has his work cutout for him to get ready for the 49ers speed.

This team lost to the Falcons.

rico 01-19-2020 07:18 PM

This team is the last skeleton to bury for the Chiefs. ASS11, Bono, Grbac...UGHHH!!! Beating them in the Super Bowl would be the absolute perfect way to cap off this season. I hope we annihilate those assholes and make their yuppie fans bawl.

I think the 49ers are the most formidable opponent we will have faced all season. Defense better than NE and offense better than TN.

Falcons were a mystery this year, lost a TON of games, but then mudstomped a bunch of the better teams in the league there for a stretch.

Those mudstompings were what saved their coaching staff.

They are the scariest team from the NFC for sure.

Fools gold maybe they haven't faced anybody because no team is as good as they think they are

Pundits build teams up but they are usually wrong or just go by what they're use too like you would think AA ron is good but he is over rated this year.

I said last week that Tennessee would be a great tuneup for SF as their offensive styles are very similar. Our D won that battle today in terms of physicality and I know that we can win it again against SF.

By that same token, they haven’t seen Patrick Mahomes with a fully healthy Chiefs team.

They’ve seen Russell Wilson twice, and lost to him once (really should’ve been twice). Mahomes is better than Wilson and our roster is better than the Seahawks.

It should be a good game and either team is capable of winning.

I feel as good about it as I could. We all knew we wouldn’t be playing a trash team in the Super Bowl if we made it that far.

smithandrew051 01-19-2020 07:30 PM

They should have Montana flip the coin

Peter Gibbons 01-19-2020 07:33 PM

Winning the SB is going to be fun but picking last every round will get tiring year after year. Oh well.

Well we do get the pick for whoever picks first in the 2nd round between the 9ers and Chiefs, so we won’t have the very last pick in that round.

ThaVirus 01-19-2020 07:38 PM

They'll be tough.

They've got an elite OL, elite TE, a stable of RBs with elite speed, and probably the best collection of individual pass rushing talent in the NFL.

But in all seriousness, the Titans would beat the Niners. This is the easiest team we've played this postseason.

I think Mahomes and Rodgers are ELITE QB's in this league that can beat any defense.

I don't place Jimmy G in that category. Hence, I'd rather face the 49er's than the Packers. (even though that looks silly while you are currently watching the 49er's/packers game)

And we have MVPMII, plus Kelce, Hill, Watkins, Clark, Jones, etc., etc., etc.

FloridaMan88 01-19-2020 07:43 PM

Lot’s of interesting sub-plots...

The legit best TE in the NFL (Kelce) vs. the national media’s latest flavor of the moment (Kittle).

The pre-Mahomes history of the Chiefs trying to win with former 49ers QB’s.

Great defense vs. Great offense.

Dee Ford.

And more.
