We had to do something after the performance put on by Chad Kelley

Band aid move

This corner group is gonna be garbage minus Fuller. Be nice if they had an all pro with him.
|
I'm wondering what they saw, or if they are just THAT desperate.
Scandrick is ****ing terrible. |

Is Scandrick the new slot corner or is he a safety to cover for Berry if he's limited this year? Both?
|
jesus this guys sucks, desperation move
|
Big time desperation move. DB suck sooo bad. Rivers may get 500 yards on opening day.
|
Might be better off with Fuller, Nelson, and Tremon Smith. Amerson and Scandrick should be depth, not starters. If Berry can't play, every game is a track meet.

Good inexpensive veteran signing for the secondary. Nelson is dinged up, and Amerson has not looked very good in Preseason. Scandrick is a security signing allowing Smith and Springs to continue to develop.
I like it. Should be in football shape as he was released out of camp last week by the Skins. |
To the Hindenburg
|
Scandrick is not great but he's also not nearly as bad as some of you are letting on. For a while he was the best DB on that Dallas roster. That's not saying a lot but he is a serviceable player.
On another note, Fuller is as good as advertised. I have been very impressed with his cover skills. Even when a play is made against him he seems to be glued to the receiver. |
Meh, cheap 1 year deal, lets hope it pays off.
|
It's a depth signing, and let's face it - we need depth.
The guy is what, 32? Is it possible he's going to play some FS? |
1 yr, 1.5 million? Geez that has to be basically the vet minimum?
|
Revis island is back to it's old name: Ellis island. Give us your poor, down trodden...
|
Maybe this changes shortly if some of the young guys step up, but sadly, Scandrick is already our 2nd best corner.
|
Pretty what our first rounder will be spent on in 19. A freaking DB.

I just have to marvel at 1.5 million being cheap.
|
In 2017 he was PFF's 108th best CB in the NFL. So that would make him the 4th best CB on most teams. So...our 2nd best?
|
Get ready for every announcer every week to be mentioning how we traded away Marcus Peters
(and let go of Gaines and Mitchell -- the right moves but announcers always mention past garbage players who maybe made one good play like they were actually good once the new guys are crap too) |

WE DID IT!!!

TWITTER TARDS UNITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Why did the Redskins pay this guy then drop him? After giving up Fuller too this seems odd.

Is he taking Erving’s spot?
|
Another injury prone DB... Eric Berry can show him around his permanent place on the injury report.
|
Yes but Bashaud Breeland?
|
Feels like Revis signing
|
Breeland must either be injured or asking for the moon.
|
I get not having high expectations for him but we can’t bitch about the secondary depth and then get mad when Veach brings in an inexpensive veteran.
Say what you want but the guy was a really good slot corner at one time. Now he’s not, but is he better than what we have? Probably... |

if you play a fantasy football. pick the QB that plays the Chiefs every week cause this secondary is going to give up a ton of yards in the air.

If Scandrick is a JAG, I'll be thrilled |

 I hear ya. Good way to look at it! |
Scandrick...hmmm....feels like a Scanlon signing.
|
I also think we underestimate the loss of Mitchell.
He was far better than Amerson |

He'd be an upgrade over Roby
|
Sign-and-trade to bring back Gaines?
|
This team is going to be terrible against the pass.

I do wish we would have drafted a CB, but they didn't. |
Amerson and Scandrick....yikes. Bartee and Warfield all over again. Watch Phyllis to Allen carve these guys up on week one, then Rapistburger to Brown. Yikes. Gonna be butt ugly.

I'd argue that this move makes us WORSE, actually.
Scandrick is ****ing awful. He might be worse than Amerson. This shit is Dunta Robinson part 2. |
It seems this place agrees that this signing is a prediction of how garbage the secondary is besides Fuller and a potentially health Berry.

Hopefully our pass rush improves by leaps and bounds this season, or our secondary will get straight scorched all season. |
I saw some of Washington in the pre season. Their defensive secondary wasn't that good, and if this guy can't crack that lineup, makes you wonder why he's available.

My excitement for this year keeps getting chipped away.
I can see the opponents game stats already. Passing 34/41 365yrds 4tds......Rush 20/100yrds 1td |

See Allen. See Phyllis throw to Allen. Run, Allen, run! Chiefs fans see Allen run. Chiefs fans see Allen step on a twig in a stiff breeze and break both of his legs. Pout, Phyllis, pout! |

Marcus Peters must have been the worst teammate on the On the planet (alledgedly) for the Chiefs just to create a huge hole in their lineup.

Wonder if the Rams would take a first for Marcus Peters?

Well...we’re ****ed.
