Maybe someone will emerge out of nowhere this season, but as of now it is a weak QB class in 2025. |
Jones is gone to the highest bidder. Houston may offer the bag.
|
Steelers release Allen Robinson ahead of free agency
Could be a low risk signing for the right price. |

Rumor : chargers open to offers for Bosa and Mack.
|

Hopefully noone gives them any picks at all so they have to cut them and take the full cap hit with nothing in return.

Best part is, doesn’t matter who they cut, there are pretty heavy dead cap hit complications for any of them. |

Good thing we aren't caving to Jones and his demands. It would be cement boots for next year trying to keep at least 3 we want to keep.

Chargers flipping over their roster is interesting for them.
Might be time, those are some quality names tho! |

34mil for the 34 year old! This ol Broke dicks going to retire before CP gets another chance to get horned up for him again.
|
Would strongly consider a trade for Diontae Johnson especially if you could only give up a 5th and extend him another year to lower the cap hit this year.
He’s exactly the type of WR we need |

Anyway Pat is following Gabe Davis. Gabe is following Pat too which is interesting considering he's been fully involved in the Chiefs/Bills rivalry  . Gabe also follows Kyler Murray and CJ Stroud so maybe it's nothing but Pat following him seems to be a recent thing just like him following Xavier Worthy.

Mooney played with Trubisky, Foles, Fields, Bagent There is no comparison. Mooney has played with garbage his entire career whilst Diontae played with a hall of famer for three out of five years. Diontea is smaller, slower, older, has a more expensive contract (likely) and would cost us a draft pick. Plus has had drop issues. Mooney is younger, bigger, faster, cheaper, has never played with a hall of famer, won't cost us a pick, has good hands and has already thrived in a Reid/Nagy offense. I'll take Mooney thank you :thumb: |

So our DL will still have Jones, Karlaftis, FAU (who we hope shows why he was a first round pick), and eventually Omenihu.
Our LBs will still have Bolton, Tranquil, and Chenal. Our secondary will still have McDuffie, Watson, Williams, Reid, Cook, and Conner. All before the start of FA or the draft. Boys, that’s almost certainly a top 10 defense as it is. |

I would to get Mike Edwards back on a cheap deal.
|
I’d just like to see us bring in a moderate priced WR and some sort of vet at LT. Even a Donovan Smith type is fine.
If LT isn’t a major major need, then the draft really opens up. I’m not sold on Wanya being the answer (right now at least). It’s scary going into the draft needing to find that position. |

Gotta be cap compliant by 3/13 at 4 PM EST. Gonna be a busy next few days.
Mahomes restructure, a few cuts for cap space (Omenihu) and very likely a Sneed trade to clear about $20 million. |
They probably have a deal in place with Detroit for Sneed.
Their first and third for Sneed and a 4th. |

You guys need to come to grips with what this means-
THIS is the big free agent signing of this offseason. There will be no other big-time signing. There may be a small one or two, but this is the big ticket. So don't get your panties in a bunch when you see other teams signing a bunch of guys. We won't be very active. Sneed is gone. We're not tying up $50m in two defensive players. Not happening. I'm okay with it, it's kind of how I thought it would go, and we'll be needing to hit another great draft but it's going to be okay. |
Quote:
We can look forward to that next wave where BV and the coaches hopefully find the next Tranquill, Omenihu, etc. while we enter the draft with a nice deep selection of picks. |

Please no to Mooney

So we done now?

If we grab a first for Sneed it really feels like those first three picks (1st, 1st, 2nd) are going to be tackle, receiver, corner...right?
If what we feel a generational type tackle or receiver falls to #12 or so I could see us package those 1sts to move up. If Alt, Fashanu, Nabers falls go get em! |

Or it may be a #2 and a #4. I think something like that. |

I fully expect Veach to be bargain shopping regardless of the new Jones deal. Last year we got Edwards, Drew, James, Omenihu, Smith etc on good deals and hopefully we see more of the same.
Mooney, Claypool and Shenault are three guys that have "Veach specials" written all over them tbh. Antonio Gibson and Mike Gesicki too. There's so many small deals to be had imo. |
Quote:
Than any one of the aforementioned WRs. Make those two moves and we can go into an 8+ pick draft without any glaring needs. |
Mac Jones is a JAG, and he’s a Jag too

I think Mooney on a deal for less money than MVS is a good plan, he already knows the offense and has been successful with Nagy, knows the offense, and is a sub 4.4 guy. |
