He’ll be struggling to keep up with opposing teams due to our defense.

I think you are a coward.

It won't ruin him it will benefit him and the team and provide a spark. Alex Smith is dead in the water and we will lose first round so why not give the kid experience.

How does Mahomes create a spark for this piss poor defense? And I am coward, I don’t want him to get ****ing hurt when we have Smith. Let Smith finish this season out. Mahomes can create sparks in the off-season and pre-season as well. Plenty of time for that.

Giving up 9 points is piss poor? Then what is scoring only 9 points against the midgets?

Blame your ****ing coach. For some reason he’s stuck on shuffle passes and getting too cute.

Yep and you should stick with him for these last 6 pointless games.

We’ll be one and done IF we make playoffs anyways. Mahomes will soon **** shit up!!!

He wouldn't need to get cute if his Quarterback had the balls to throw it deep and connect with the fastest player in the NFL.

Listen, it's all learning from here on out. Alex has proven that he cannot carry this team to a SB Win... Nothing to lose. Let the kid play.

He actually connected with Hill in double coverage for about 40+ yards.

We do not have an easy schedule my friend. The way this team is playing the rest of our schedule is very difficult what did you not see today? Nothing personal here. The sooner Mahomes gets his rookie snaps out of the way the less of a rookie year he has next year as our starting QB. Your reasoning here in your thread means you still believe in this team whereas I do not believe in this team to go all the way to the Super Bowl let alone just make it to the playoffs the way they are playing now. Just saying.

This is the way I see it too. I want no part of anymore Childress influence. I also think Veach is off to a bad start. Ragland doesn't impress me and neither does the Erving signing. The kicker change was good, but other than that I sense nobody minding the store. They should have cut guys during the bye week and promoted from the practice squad. I have never been happy with the OL since Reid arrived either. Denver is heading for a high draft pick, start Mahomes now and we just might shock some people. The important thing is to start cutting guys this week.

I love you man, but you are cray. I wouldn't have believed it two weeks ago but now I think we see Mahomes at some point this year.

Smith really needs to dial it up if he is to match your optimism and keep the kid on the sidelines.

Lots of respected members here have changed today. Alex knows it. And as Reid said, Alex knows how this works.

pugsnotdrugs19 11-19-2017 08:08 PM

Anybody else remember that time before 2016 when Doug Pederson was saying that Carson Wentz wasn't going to start and that he needed more time to develop? And then all of the sudden, after missing 3 preseason games, they went ahead and traded Bradford and rolled with Wentz from day one?

Yeah, that seems to have worked out well.

As much as it pains me to say this, Alex very well could get it together and we’ll have a shot at getting some value for him. We bench him now, we won’t get shit, period. Let him pad those stats baby!!!!!

Mahomes has no chemistry with the first team players, he needs a full off-season to mesh with those guys. If he starts or sits, either way we have no chance at a Super Bowl run. This defense is atrocious. If Mahomes lays an egg (which is highly likely) it’ll just knock his confidence down. There’s no reason to risk an injury on a player when this team isn’t going anywhere with or without him playing. Last thing we need is for him to come in and get concussed. Be smart, put the beer down and calm the **** down. The remaining schedule should be a breeze for Smitty to rack up some decent stats.

I love you all and it’ll all be okay!!!!

I disagree.

The fact that it is an easy schedule from here on out is why you start Mahomes. There is NO excuse for the bad QB play that Smith has been showing lately at this stage in his career with the time he's had in this offense. It's been a steady decline all season from game one, which he looked Brilliant, to good, to average, to bad and to terrible.

This team needs a spark. We all know Smith's ceiling and Mahomes ceiling is in a different universe....and if the past 5 weeks are what you are going to get out of Smith for the rest of the year then the Chiefs are better off seeing what Mahomes can do now. It won't take much for Mahomes to match Smith's output IMO.

If you stick with Smith then yes, this team is likely in the playoffs but you can pretty much guarantee that this team 1 and done. If you are happy with that then by all means, cheer for Smith and hope they Trade Mahomes during the off season.

If they go to Mahomes, they still likely make the playoffs in this division and could a much better team by playoff time. Worst case is what you get with Smith.

Mahomes has been running the scout team in practices. He hasn't been sitting around diddling himself like Tyler Bray has been doing on fake IR for the past 4-5 years.

And on the scout team, what's the most important job? RUN THE ****ING PLAY. It's not to "win" practices or impress coaches. It's to know what's in the goddamn playbook and execute each play with backups.

I was against starting Mahomes as of last week. I was all in favor of just sucking it up and dealing with Alex and his scaredy cat bullshit for another season. But now I'm ****ing done. I'm not watching another Chiefs game until the playoffs as long as I have to watch them duke it out with shitty ****ing teams and get into field goal fights.

Oh, and by the way, the defense was better today, but it was still the Giants. The defense still ****ing sucks, too. Another reason to not watch this pathetic team.

However, if Mahomes starts, I'm not going to miss a single second.

Now I know you are trolling.

This wasnt double coverage. The safety came over super late and would never have been im the play at all if the pass wasnt substantially underthrown.
