But, I do agree with you. I'm cautiously optimistic about the young guys, but I don't like relying on them.

It's just pretty much impossible for a DB to win one of those, especially against someone like Hill or Watkins or Kelce. I mean ****, when a wr gets to make like 3 moves and then beats a corner, damn.

And there is no pass rush pressure on the QB...

THIS

If they can work a Breeland contract that fits, and want to make a playoff run these next 2 years, make the move.

NJChiefsFan 08-02-2018 03:31 PM

Especially if it really is a 1 or max 2 year deal.

Hog's Gone Fishin 08-02-2018 03:35 PM

Any updates on the injuries to Fisher and erving ?

Great idea. Thanks for volunteering to start the thread!

Reid on the Mahomes INTs

"I want him to test the offense. If you don't have the intestinal fortitude you'll end up being one of those QBs that checks it down all the time"

Wow- I wonder who Andy is talking about?

Mecca 08-02-2018 03:47 PM

I'd still take Breeland for a couple of reasons, 1 there are going to be times that having 4 CB's is a benefit. Also it would allow you to experiment with some sets where because this team has some shitty safety depth that a guy like Nelson might be able to work as a safety in obvious passing downs.

It'd open up alot of things.

Here , I found it myself . **** all of you.

Offensive linemen Eric Fisher and Cam Erving left practice early on Thursday due to injures.

Head Coach Andy Reid provided an update on the two players following practice.

“Fish tweaked his shoulder a little bit and Cam tweaked his knee,” Reid said.

Linebacker Ukeme Eligwe, meanwhile, was back on the field after missing the last two days of practice with a foot strain.

Watch this beauty of a throw. —> https://twitter.com/chiefsreporter/s...474318857?s=21

Unless you’re a Broncos fan or stevieray of course, then just stick to the INTs.

Based on what we've seen/heard so far, do you still think we need to spend $6-8 million (possibly for multiple years) on Bashaud Breeland?

We're three deep with dudes who have starting experience-- Fuller, Amerson, Nelson. The others have flashed some during practice, but they're young and we have no idea what will happen in preseason games and beyond.

If you ask me, I'm leaning towards not signing him at all. Not for the money he wants, anyway. The extra space this year could mean carry-over that will help significantly in getting contract extensions for practically anybody who's due soon. That includes Nelson and Amerson and also Fuller (who would still have a year left after this season). We may also want to get early deals done for Jones or Hill.

**** Breeland, lets focus on the future

Nah. Roll with what you got this year take a few corners next year.0

That's it. Robinson needs to take Conley's job this year. He's got far more potential. I think Conley has just about hit his ceiling.
