Just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in.

That can happen when somebody like yourself attempts to make an inane argument out of their dislike for one particular player.
You're taking this way too personally. Just because I think it was a bad decision doesn't mean I despise the ground LeBron James walks on and hope he's doomed to a career of failure. You're going a little overboard with the "everyone has a vendetta against LeBron" stuff. Saying he made a bad decision isn't akin to spitting in his face and calling his momma a fatass.

The Haslem statistics that you brought up do mean something, they just don't come anywhere close to providing legitimate support for your argument. The sample size is far too small to suggest that he's completely regressed as a basketball player and the statistic itself doesn't differentiate open/uncontested shots and covered/contested shots.
The most current, up-to-date statistics on Haslem say he's more than likely to miss a shot from that spot on the floor. He proceeded to miss that shot, despite it being "wide open" and uncontested. What part of this is not computing for you?

Quote:

Not at all. He was making great plays. I've never once said that him taking the last shot would have been necessarily a bad play. It just would have been much more difficult and lower percentage play than his pass to a proven open jump shooter from 15 feet.
It wasn't 15 feet,it was about 18 feet, and if they're both "good basketball plays" then I'll take the "good basketball play" that involves the best player in the game getting the last shot any day of the week.

how the **** is that not a foul?

dirk digler 03-04-2012 01:49 PM

Celtics running away with it right, up 15. Rondo dominating and one rebound away from another triple double

dirk digler 03-04-2012 01:53 PM

BS that was out of the cylinder

Mr. Laz 03-04-2012 01:53 PM

if Celts break things up, wouldn't Pierce be a good fit for Chicago?

They need another scoring option in crunch time.

They don't have anything to give up plus they already have a younger Pierce in Deng

The JV game is almost over. I'm waiting for the real teams at 3:30.

DaKCMan AP 03-04-2012 02:16 PM

Too bad Heat will be without Bosh for the 3rd straight game.

dirk digler 03-04-2012 02:19 PM

Rondo is the only player in the NBA with multiple triple doubles.
