I remember Madness' One Step Beyond and The Beat's Mirror In The Bathroom from MTV back in the day. They weren't really my thing, but this documentary, Dance Craze, about 80s British Ska/two tone is pretty cool. 25 or so songs from Madness, The Beat, Bad Manners, Bodysnatchers, The Selecter and The Specials.

If you've been a bad boy

Fine, I will dig in my playlist and see what I got but none of it is from Korea.

Avandoned - After School. More 70s Jackson 5 inspired than K-pop.

Hikari Shiina - Makai's I Love You. This is in her death pop phase.

Raymay - Pulsar. This song is frankly all over the place.

OK, never realized this. Even considered it, and now that I see it after being familiar with it for 30 years now, how did I ever miss it.

Was this something obvious to everyone all these years? Am I an oblvious music listener?

Also an unrelated bit of 'obliviousness' that I am still trying to figure out that if it was so inconsequential that I actually 'got it' a long time ago, and just forgot that I got it, or if I just got it for the first time recently. Someone was joking about Blink-182, and brought up Take off Your Pants and Jacket, and they stressed the 'and jack it' part. I'd like to think this occurred to me when the CD came out, but I can't recall giving much thought at all to the title at the time, and certainly hadn't thought of B182 at all in years.

No, before I got into Aimee Mann [Michael Penn, Magnolia years] that was 'Rush brought in a female background singer.' And since then, I didn't think about it at all until today.

But then, I don't think I've ever consumed Rush through MTV/Music Videos, . . . unless the Show of Hands Concert counts.

Ticking like a time bomb with a primitive design.

The heart of a lonely hunter guards a dangerous frontier.

We had a thread here several years ago where people checked their harddrives to see what band they had the most mp3s of. Mine was the Ramones, although I had lots of duplicates because I had several anthologies, so the count was tainted.

Been on a 80's/90's kick recently. Picked up the albums containing these songs:

This album was really expensive but holds so much nostalgia that I just went for it

We can :) How you doing, buddy?

I'm gonna start by leaving DC alone. There's no joy there.
