God damn so happy Curry is back. This is so much fun to watch especially him and Klay running with the 2nd team

Dramond Green is really, really good.

At the game laughing at the latest Raptors choke against this team. That was an all-timer considering LeBron was tired and conserving energy for most of the game.

The sad thing is that they actually are better than them this year too but DeRozan/Lowry don't actually believe they can beat them so they won't do it. Cavs in 6 remains my prediction but the Raptors better win on Thursday if they even want to get that far.

Very much so, a close approximation. What matters is that the players don't (or at least the ones that play the end of the game) and that's why they never will.

Would have liked to have seen Poeltl over JV bricking every 2 footer and getting outmuscled for every rebound. Poeltl is better anyway.

NOLA has done a great job hanging so close but with Steph back and playing well it seems like a run to pull away is coming at any moment.

Yep. Hell of a run for the Pelicans. Gentry should be COTY. But their outmatched in this series. I'll be impressed if they take a game.

Wish the Pelicans could get Kawai to team with AD. That would be fun to see. Of course it won't happen.

The Pelicans probably would have won last night if Curry didn't play. As long as they stay healthy they should get to the Finals. The Rockets series is going to be off the hook though.

Yep. Regarding the possible Rockets / Warriors series - I hope so, because I'm a Rockets fan...BUT to be completely honest, I can see the Warriors beating the Rockets in 5 or 6. Reason being, this Rockets team has been built to beat the Warriors. If the Rockets don't win at least one home game to begin with, I think they'll go "mental" and that will end it early. I think IF the Rockets do manage to at least get a split at the start, they'll have at least a punchers chance, and IF they manage to win the series, it will go 7.

O.city 05-02-2018 08:27 AM

If the Warriors are healthy, I don't see a current team in the league that can beat them.

If you could get AD in Boston with Kyrie and Heyward, or Lebron in Houston maybe.

They're just damn good though. They shoot it so well and they're well coached.

I think they really need to win the 1st two at home to have a chance against them in that series.

I attribute his great game to bad coaching on the Raptors and the fragility, softness of JV.

The Raptors didn’t learn from game 7 against the Wiz, they were getting destroyed that game all because they fail to box guys out in the paint in order to setup their guys in positions to get rebounds. Game 1 of this series its the same ****ing thing. And JV physically doesn’t stack up well against TT. That and his lack of awareness kills the Raps at times.

Revising it to Warriors in 5 over the Rockets. Losing home games to the Utah Jazz in the playoffs is S-O-F-T.

Define legit. They'd get swept by the Warriors. Truly elite teams shouldn't be losing home playoff games to a 48 win team that doesn't score above the league average.

tk13 05-02-2018 11:20 PM

The Jazz won the season series against Golden State 3-1 and the three wins were by 19, 30 and 40 points. The last game was meaningless, but overall they played them well. I'd never pick them to win a playoff series but I imagine they'd put up a fight at least. Mitchell looks legit.

I have a bad feeling the Rockets are going to flame out in the next round. Maybe just because of D'Antoni's playoff record.

One of the 3 best teams in the league by record after they got Gobert back. I think id consider that legit.

the Jazz are missing their offensive facilitator/play maker that makes their entire offensive set work. The fact they even took one off Houston is pathetic for the Rockets and all that talent.

what talent? Houston is full of players who were bottom-feeders before they came to Houston. They are, and were always, frauds. But getting a team like that to win 65 games says a lot about Harden. The Wizards on the other hand....

Raptors are SOFT. They need to blow the team up and get somebody that can take over and will the team to a win. Lowry and DeRozan are good players but they're soft and they're not true superstars.

43-8-14 on 19/28 shooting. In his 15th year in the league. By happenstance, I was sitting beside a bigger LeBron James fan than me. He knew and respected his greatness. You all should as well. It's a privilege to be able to watch the greatest player to ever play this game do his thing like that. Looks like it will be my last chance to do so this year as well.

I don't know where that Kevin Love has been for the entire playoffs, but if he shows up from now on, the Cavs really shouldn't have any problems in the next round either.

No, the Pacers suck. Raptors probably beat that team in 5 or 6 games.

Difference is that the Raptors (their starters anyway) have no belief against LeBron. He's living in their heads, their hearts and their souls. Also Kevin Love playing like the All-Star he is rather than looking like that scrub Serge Ibaka makes the Cavs a bit more difficult to beat.

There are no true superstars coming through that door. Just get rid of DeRozan, Ibaka and JV and play the bench guys (Wright, Siakam, Poeltl) in their place and you'd be better than you are right now anyway.

But, of course, that's never happening.

Difference between Jordan and Lebron fans:

Jordan:

All-time leading PPG average in playoffs

More PPG in NBA Finals

Most NBA finals MVP's

NBA Finals series scoring record

Perfect Finals record (6-0).

He even beat that great 98 Jazz team without Pippen for most of the game in game 6 to win his sixth title. 8 points in the final 2 minutes including the game winning steal and game winning shot.

We'll probably never see anything like that again.

KCC,Maybe Lebron will be the GOAT; I don't know how the rest of his career will play out. But, if Lebron loses in the Finals he will have the same number of Finals losses than Jordan had wins.

Wrap your head around that one.
